Falun Dafa Information Center: During Jiang's visit to Hong Kong to celebrate Hong Kong's return to China, the Hong Kong government denied entry to over one hundred foreign Falun Gong practitioners, including over 90 practitioners from Taiwan. One PhD student from Taiwan was gang beaten by about a dozen policemen. He later said that it was unbelievable to him that the Hong Kong police would treat him so badly.
In a speech given during his visit Jiang said, "Hong Kong is one piece of the everlasting bright pearl of China." But he mispronounced the word bright (Cui Can in Chinese) as broken (Cui Lan in Chinese). Oddly the Hong Kong media did not mention this error. Although it was a mispronunciation, it reflects a truth. The word "one piece" Jiang used already reflects Hong Kong's lost status of being the only "bright pearl" and is now merely another one of many big Chinese cities. Such being the mentality of Jiang, Hong Kong is bound to be easily "broken."

Fa-Rectification Stories:
1. A female Dafa practitioner built a solid xinxing foundation during her daily cultivation and she could memorize most of the Dafa books. After she broke out of jail with righteous thoughts, she made up for what she missed -- reading Teacher's articles published in the past two years in a very short period of time. Just because of this, she was able to walk on her path of Fa-rectification with a calm mind and fully join the current of Fa-rectification. When she encounters any obstructions, she immediately sends forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the interference, and therefore she was always able to complete her Fa-rectification mission successfully.
2. A child's pure and innocent heart: Lin Lin, my nephew, is an eight-year-old boy in second grade. Once, when his school organized students to sign an anti-Falun Gong document, Lin Lin said, "I didn't sign, and I asked my schoolmates not to sign, either." Because my cousin, Lin Lin's mother/father does not practice Falun Gong, I asked him how he knew that he shouldn't sign, he said, "I don't know about Falun Gong, and I would have made a mistake by signing if Falun Gong was good."
A letter home sends sincere, heart-felt thoughts. "I don't know what kind of close, predestined relationship enabled us to become a family. I cherish this relationship, because we are connected by blood! My beloved family members: please calm down and think for the eternal future of your lives and read Falun Gong truth-clarification materials. Don't believe the lies of the government-controlled Chinese media. I am also a Falun Gong practitioner. Why would I lie to you? Please remember forever 'Truth, Compassion, Tolerance.' Falun Dafa is a great Fa with mighty virtues that don't come in tens of thousands of years. Please believe me!"

A letter to Falun Gong practitioners' family members: Falun Dafa truly benefits people's health--both physically and mentally. That is why so many people from so many countries are willing to practice it. Many experiments and articles have already demonstrated from a scientific point of view that Falun Dafa is a much more profound science than the science we currently understand. To achieve their goal that cannot bear the light of day, Jiang's regime has been using all means to frame and defame Dafa. We just want to tell people how wonderful Dafa is and the unjust treatment that we have encountered. Would that be considered getting involved in politics?
A letter to policemen: I brought my son to Beijing for a holiday. In Tiananmen Square, we were arrested just because we said, "Falun Dafa is good!" I was then sent to hell on earth, a detention center, in the name of "disturbing public order." There I was tortured so badly that I almost died. If a country deprives its citizens of the basic right to life, what use is it to boast about laws and the freedoms of belief and expression?
News and Activities Around the World
According to the Falun Dafa Information Center on July 2, 2002, Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners held a sit-in to appeal for 29 hours straight, from June 30 to July 1. They requested Jiang to stop persecuting Falun Gong both in China and overseas. Hong Kong has recently repatriated hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world. In addition, it restricted the appeal to be within designated areas. It also tried every resort so that Jiang would not see Falun Gong practitioners or anyone wearing yellow.
UK Dafa practitioners had a warm discussion of how to cultivate diligently without letting up, and harmonize work, study, and family life at the same time. Through this discussion, practitioners felt their hearts became closer to each other. A Dafa practitioner proposed a plan of "Sitting-In with Me," which is a way that everyday people are likely to accept. Such a plan allows for easy news coverage, and it would also enhance the outcome of spreading the Fa.
June 24 (Monday) was "Falun Dafa Day" at Canberra, Australia. Several Dafa practitioners went to the Capitol Building on Thursday, Friday, and Monday. They gave Lotus Origami made by practitioners to more than 100 offices including some ministers and the Prime Minister. This activity had a very good outcome, and it became news for the Capitol for a few days. One employee told practitioners that many people in the Capitol and Canberra fully support Falun Gong.
