Don't be a slave of the tyrant. It has been three years since the evil dictator began his unjustifiable policy of persecution. Some of you surely know that the kind-hearted practitioners are law-abiding citizens. Did you ever take a moment to think about Jiang's order, "Deaths of Falun Gong practitioners due to beatings count for nothing and are to be treated as suicides."? Do you think that a person devoid of virtue can change heavenly principles? My fellow countrymen, you cannot blame everything on "orders from higher authorities." You cannot shift the blame if you are driven by self-interest against your own conscience and rationality. When you, your family and your relatives receive retribution because of your actions, how can you say that you didn't contribute to it? It's a heavenly principle that good will be met with good, and evil will be met with evil. When the truth is revealed, you will know that what you have lost is much more than you now realize.

Li Yun, female, a practitioner from Chengdu City, was sent to a forced-labor camp for one year for making a peaceful appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. Some time after she was released, Yun was jailed for three months without any legitimate cause. On July 20, Li Yun passed by the Xindu No. 268 Factory while a rally was happening. People were protesting against the corrupt factory leadership for embezzling funds. The police arrested Li Yun and accused her of instigating the rally. She was then sent to Mianyang Detention Center. Yun began a hunger strike to protest the detention. As a result, she was tied down and force-fed.

A brief summary of the ups and downs of my three-year Fa-rectification experiences: In October 1999, I went to Beijing to appeal with fellow practitioners. The police was informed, and I was illegally detained for 15 days and fined 1,000 Yuan. In the spring of 2000 several fellow practitioners and I were arrested for practicing publicly at school. The public security bureau asked for a fine of 1,000 Yuan, but I refused to pay. I was released later. In July 2000, I gave the local policemen materials about the truth of Falun Gong and was illegally detained. The public security bureau interrogated and tortured me, but I did not cooperate with their demands. Finally they had to release me unconditionally because they could not shake my belief in Dafa. In December 2000, I went to Beijing once again to safeguard Dafa and was arrested. I resisted the evil persecution and was released the same day. In January 2001, I was arrested again for distributing Falun Gong materials in the countryside. I held a hunger strike for 78 days, during which time I was fettered and force-fed. As a result of the torture, I vomited blood and lost consciousness. Later on I was bailed out, using my house as collateral. After I came back, I immediately rejoined the Fa-rectification process.

My mother and aunts have lived difficult lives. They had 8 siblings and they are basically illiterate. Life was hard to them, and they suffered from all kinds of illnesses. Just as they were at their wits' end, they obtained Falun Dafa. After my mother started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997, all of her illnesses disappeared. In less than a year, this 70-year-old woman knew all of the characters in Zhuan Falun. The neighbors were all surprised. Amidst the persecution, my mothers' firm belief in Master and Dafa was never shaken. My two aunts were once misled by the overwhelming lies and fabrications, and they went astray for a short time. But they realized the truth quickly and are fulfilling their roles in clarifying the truth to the people, just like my mother, in the process of Fa-rectification.
