(Clearwisdom.net) From 12 noon to 2 p.m. on August 5, 2002, Falun Gong practitioners from the San Francisco Bay area appealed in front of the Hong Kong Liaison Office in San Francisco, requesting the Hong Kong police to dismiss the unreasonable accusation against 16 Falun Gong practitioners.
Based on concerns for the future of Hong Kong, practitioners calmly and peacefully clarified the truth of the unreasonable accusations to the passersby and media. RFA, Voice of Bay Radio Station and Epoch Times Newspaper conducted interviews at the site.
The officials of the Hong Kong Liaison Office in San Francisco accepted the appeal letter from the practitioners and promised that they would pass the letter to the Hong Kong government.
Hundreds of passersby accepted the truth-clarification flyers from the practitioners. Many people were deeply concerned and asked for the details. They expressed their worries about the future of Hong Kong. After learning the facts, one passerby said angrily, "I must call Hong Kong (government) and ask them if they really want Hong Kong to be free and prosperous."
