In July 2002, the "610 Office" of Shantou City kidnapped 8 Dafa practitioners: Xunhong Cai, Chanjun You, Meiyun Huang, Jianhong Liu, Chunhong Wu, Dingwu Zheng, Biyun, and Shaoying. At that time another eight Dafa practitioners (Jiabin Li, Zepeng Zhuang, Lifang Lai, Yanbo Wu, Huipeng Wang, Shaoyun Chen, Yixia Chen, Shuan Chen) were waiting to be sentenced in Jinyuan District Court. Recently, more Dafa practitioners have been kidnapped. The details of this incident aren't yet known. The eight kidnapped Dafa practitioners we do know of are mostly in their fifties and sixties. Police beat them up, bruises covering their bodies. It was said that the police were going to send them to labor camps and their detention terms had already been determined internally.
