ABC: Falun Gong says China is holding Australian

The Department of Foreign Affairs is seeking urgent confirmation of reports that an Australian woman has been detained in China.

The department is working with Chinese authorities to determine what has happened to 34-year-old Nancy Chen from Sydney.

A spokesman for the Falun Gong movement says Ms Chen was in China visiting her parents when the incident occurred.
