(Clearwisdom.net) In the morning of January 20, 2003, Nancy Chen, a Falun Gong practitioner and an Australian citizen was kidnapped in Chengdu City during her trip to visit family and friends in China.
On January 17, 2003, holding valid visas, Nancy Chen and her six-year-old daughter went to Yibin of Sichuan Province to visit her parents. Two days later, Nancy Chen went to Chengdu City to visit her friends. On January 20, she was kidnapped in Chengdu City within 24 hours of her arrival.
Nancy Chen's husband said that according to her phone call to her mother, her passport has been confiscated. Her kidnapping has to do with her being a Falun Gong practitioner. Since the kidnapping took place at 6 a.m., it is very likely that the kidnapper(s) broke into the home of Nancy Chen's friend while she was sleeping, and she made an urgent phone call to her parents.
