Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Tongling from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province was abducted and taken to a brainwashing class on September 9, 2003, two days before the Mid-Autumn Festival, and was sent to the Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Center to serve an illegal term of forced labor. She has been on hunger strike to protest ever since the abduction. On October 12, 2003, Liu Tongling died as a result of the persecution after being at the Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Center for one month. There have been at least twenty Falun Dafa practitioners who have died from the persecution in Daqing.

On October 14, 2003, Secretary Liu of the No.1 Branch of the Daqing City Installation Company, and Security Officer Li Chuanjun went to Falun Dafa practitioner Zhao Wenzhen's home in the 8^th District of Chengfeng Village. They tried to force Zhao to write a "Guarantee Statement," promising not to practice Falun Gong again, and threatened her when she refused to write, saying that they would send her to labor camp, or a brainwashing class, and fine her 6,200 Yuan repeatedly until she stopped practicing. The personnel at the installation company have been waiting at the 8^th District of Chengfeng Village and trying to force Falun Dafa practitioners who live there to write "Guarantee Statements." They abduct those who refuse and take them for brainwashing.

Personnel from the security office assist the evil in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners by sending practitioners to labor camp at the beginning of the persecution, withholding salaries from those employees who have family members practicing Falun Gong, and trying to make family members of Falun Dafa practitioners write "Guarantee Statements." Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Weixin died from the persecution and Zhang Dapeng, who was a member of security at the installation factory, was directly involved.

One evening, my wife downloaded a bunch of songs composed by Dafa practitioners, sang one after another, and watched a video of Dafa disciples' performances on the website. She told me the next morning, there were millions of dark beings surrounding her in her dream, and it was very terrifying. She thought about a line from the song she had learned, and then said aloud, "The righteous thoughts rise, the decayed is extinguished." She then saw the black things explode, until they were all cleaned away. I was deeply moved by the power of Dafa disciples' artistic creations, and at the same time, amazed at how effective my wife's righteous thoughts were, even though she never formally joined our cultivation with Fa-study or exercises.

Recently, some state security personnel in a northern Chinese region have been monitoring Falun Dafa practitioners' relatives and families. They went to Dafa practitioners' employers, asked them about practitioners' families and relatives, where they work, their phone numbers, etc. We think this may be related to the lawsuits overseas. They might want to find out which Falun Dafa practitioners have overseas connections, or the capability of passing on testimonials of this persecution to overseas practitioners. This is so that they can monitor, persecute, or further persecute their families. Here, we remind fellow practitioners to be rational, clarify the truth with wisdom and eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts.
