Facts of the persecution

Dafa practitioners who were tortured to death at the Xinhua Labor Camp in Mianyang City include: Yuan Shengqian, Li Xinze, Ding Feng, Zhang Xiaohong, and Xi Zhimin.

Dafa practitioner Shen Xiaodu from Chengdu City was forced to stand in front of the entrance to a brick kiln, exposing him to the excessive heat until his back was burned and covered with blisters.

Practitioner He Yuanbin was often shocked with electric batons until his head was severely burned. The perpetrators also didn't allow him to sleep for a long time and forced him to do high-intensity "drill exercises" until he had a nervous breakdown.

The perpetrators ordered inmates to beat practitioner Deng Jiangang savagely until two of his ribs were broken, his legs became limp and his eyesight declined.

At midnight on October 13, 2003, officers from Qiaoxi Police Department in Xingtai City, Hebei Province, officials from the "610 Office*" and Xingtai City's brainwashing class criminally invaded the homes of 12 Dafa practitioners. These people, in total disregard of the Chinese Constitution, ransacked Dafa practitioners' homes with the assistance of personnel from the Xingtai Ore Bureau's Zhangcun Police Station in Gequan Mine, aided and abetted by people from the residential committee. They sent the practitioners to the Xingtai brainwashing class for persecution, in an attempt to force them to give up Falun Dafa.

Dafa practitioner Niu Hui and her two family members were abducted.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Wei Danquan from Shanhaiguan, Qinhuangdao City was unlawfully detained at the Hehuakeng Labor Camp in Tangshan City. Right now, Wei Danquan is very weak. He suffers from frequent heart problems, sometimes twice or three times a day. He often required monitoring and care around the clock, and is on the brink of death. We hope fellow practitioners can send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements in other dimensions that are persecuting him. Let our righteous thoughts help him to break out as soon as possible.

After July 20, 1999, the perpetrators at No. 1 Cotton Weaving Factory in Shijiazhuang City followed the Jiang regime's insane orders to persecute Dafa practitioners. In 2000, Dafa practitioner Chen Jing was persecuted and had 1,000 Yuan** extorted from her for validating Dafa in Beijing. In the same year, practitioner Liu Xiufang was persecuted and punished by the factory for validating Dafa in Beijing. In November 2002, she was sent to a brainwashing center in the capital city of Hebei Province and was illegally fined 6000 Yuan in total. In 2001, practitioner Cui Jinghua was abducted from work and sent to a brainwashing center in the capital city of Hebei Province. She was illegally fined 300 Yuan. Practitioner Wang Shengjie was abducted and was forbidden to go home during the Chinese New Year. In September 2002, practitioner Li Shulin was abducted and sent to a brainwashing center in the capital city of Hebei Province and was illegally fined 3,000 Yuan. In November 2002, practitioner Meng Lianying was sent to the same brainwashing center and illegally fined 3,000 Yuan. On September 26, 2003, practitioner Wang Xiuling was sent to the same brainwashing center.

On the evening of January 22, 2001, police abducted practitioners Hong Xi, Hong Li, Yang Fenglian and her husband (not a practitioner), in the Jinzhou District, Dalian City. Yang Fenglian's husband paid 5,000 Yuan after several days of illegal detention before he was released. The current whereabouts of Yang Fenglian are unknown. Right now, practitioners Hong Xi and Hong Li are being detained at the Dalian Labor Camp.

The perpetrators at Fujian Province's Female Prison fiendishly persecute Dafa practitioners. In March and April 2003, Dafa practitioner Zhang Huayu from Zhangzhou told the prison authorities that she was forced to work for three days and three nights in a row. Officer Chen Hong frenziedly shocked Zhang Huayu's face and mouth. This cruel woman did not stop torturing Zhang even after she had collapsed to the ground. In the evening, she hung Zhang Huayu up with her hands cuffed. Then this vile, deceitful woman claimed Zhang "went crazy from practicing Falun Gong." Zhang Huayu's face is misshapen and covered with bruises.

Police officers abducted Dafa practitioners Chen Hai, Li Hailin, Xu Shuhua. These policemen were from the Fushan Police Station, Jianping County Police Department. They tortured these kind practitioners at the county's National Security Brigade. The police locked Xu Shuhua in an unheated cell, and they did not give her any blankets. She lived in the freezing cell for a whole winter. Later, Xu Shuhua was illegally sentenced to 13 years in prison and was sent to Dabei Prison in Shenyang City.

Also sentenced were practitioners Li Hailin and Chen Hai, who were sent to Nanshan Prison in Jinzhou City. Two female practitioners were also sent to Dabei Prison.

The police in Xinye County, Henan Province have barbarously persecuted Dafa practitioners for the past four years. They set up secret courts in secluded areas and tortured 36 practitioners with dozens of torture methods. They tortured practitioners Wang, Hu and Huang in the most savage manner for seven days and seven nights, until their bodies were swollen and covered with bruises. Dozens of scars still remain on their bodies to this day. Practitioner Zhao was brutally tortured for six days and six nights. He passed out six times. The perpetrators poured cold water on him, and when he came to, they resumed the torture.

Thirty-four Dafa practitioners were illegally sentenced to forced labor by officials from the Xinye County Police Station.

Dafa practitioner Chen Weiyuan in Jilin City is in her 50s. She suffered severe head trauma during the Cultural Revolution and had brain surgery. She lost her memory following the surgery. Later she was paralyzed and could not take care of herself. After she practiced Falun Gong, a miracle happened. She became strong and energetic and her family became a happy one. Since July 1999, she was frequently sent to the Heizuizi Labor Camp and was cruelly tortured. She is still being illegally held at Heizuizi Labor Camp. She suffered horrific psychological torment and has lost control of her bowel and bladder functions.

A healthy person "treated" to display mental illness

When I promoted the Fa at a tourist attraction site in Singapore, I met two Chinese tourists from northern China who thoroughly read the truth clarification materials I had handed them. One tourist pointed a picture showing a savagely tortured Dafa practitioner and said, "They are too cruel!" The other tourist nodded and said, "It's too dark in China!" The first tourist again said, "I know Falun Gong is good. There is a Falun Gong practitioner at our work unit who was healthy, but they dragged him to a mental institution and forcibly gave him shots. They 'treated' a healthy person and made him into an ill person! I saw this with my own eyes!"

In the past four years, some staged incidents were used to frame Dafa and some "crimes" were made up to attack Dafa. Right and wrong were turned upside down, and the people of the world were deceived. The number of people who are deceived and the extent of deception is no less than that during the Cultural Revolution. Propaganda and "education" repeatedly and forcefully crammed down people's throats over long periods of time created generations of blind followers of the Party. People never know they were misled until the complete truth is revealed. Then they realize that others made up these lies and they are the ones paying for it. We should learn lessons from history. On the issue of the persecution against Falun Gong - you must not limit yourself to the words in those commentary articles themselves. Try to open your mind and put aside your interests and political notions; truly think from an objective, rational and humane perspective. Ask more questions and you'll see the flaws in the Chinese government's media reports.

* The "610 Office" is a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well all other political and judiciary systems.
