Facts of the Persecution
The Third Labor Camp of Shanghai has a completely new way to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in 2003. They lock up one practitioner with four inmates who are committed for drug addiction and/or other criminal acts. They call this method "help and education." The police tell those criminals that they are allowed to do anything if the death rate is not higher than 5%. Those cellmates curse, beat and torture practitioners at will without any control or restrictions. Atrocities have occurred one after another in this labor camp.
Recently, by order of Chendu City "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches.], many businesses in Chendu attempted to force their practitioner employees to write guarantee statements to give up Falun Gong cultivation practice. Practitioners who refused to cooperate would be forcefully kidnapped. Many businesses tried to force practitioners' family members to sign an agreement that they would convince the practitioners to write such "giving-up" statements. If the family members refused to sign, they would be threatened or intimidated by their businesses. Under such great pressure, a few practitioners' relatives agreed to this unreasonable request and signed the agreements. Some work places, such as the original 82 P.O. Box, have intentionally delayed the date of paying practitioners. This created severe financial difficulties for those practitioners. We have learned that about 500 practitioners have been locked up in a brainwashing center located in Xingjin area.
Since July 20, 1999, when Jiang's regime banned Falun Gong, Daqing Prison in Heilongjiang Province has locked up about 30 practitioners. Falun Gong practitioners were sent to the Eighth Imprisonment Area once they were taken to the prison. The police ordered and encouraged barbaric torturing of practitioners with various methods by inmates. This included but was not limited to, beating and kicking, squatting down on the ground for hours, raising both hands and bending over with face toward the ground for hours and days, not allowing practitioners to sleep at night, not allowing them to join in activities, no use of bathrooms, no doing exercise during the day, not allowing them to speak to other cellmates and not allowing visitation with their relatives. They were actually monitored for 24 hours a day.
Practitioners Exchange Insights and Experiences
I would like to talk about how to completely expose Jiang's crimes and how to write reports. The case of suing Jiang was dismissed because practitioners had loopholes as one body. I am listing a few of my suggestions for your consideration.
- We should keep sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate evils in other dimensions so that the Jiang Case can move forward smoothly.
- We should further clarify the truth and expose Jiang's crimes against humanity.
- We should expose Jiang's crimes in more detail by using our own experience of suffering from persecution. This will provide powerful and solid evidence for the case of suing Jiang.
- Whenever we write a news report, we should think about how to use this article to help people realize the truth and establish proper thoughts.
