(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Ms. Deng Guojun passed away on October 19, 2003. (See the report at http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2003/11/2/41897.html) She validated the Fa with her life. During her more than one-year illegal imprisonment in Chenzhou City No. 2 Detention Center, Hunan Province, she experienced brutal abuses and hardships that no ordinary person could have endured. Ms. Deng eventually died from torture. In order to cover up their crimes, the lawless police cremated her body only a few hours after her death.

We can never forget those memorable days around the 2002 Chinese New Year (February 12, 2002). Before the New Year, the evil forces began a new round of rampant persecution against Dafa disciples. Perpetrators from the "610 Office"* led these activities, and the police set up squads for carrying out the persecution. They abducted many Dafa disciples and sent them to a brainwashing class, Ms. Deng Guojun among them.

On the first day of detention, the "610 Office" head, Zhang Heping, announced the "rules" of the brainwashing class: "No Fa studying, no exercising, no visiting among cells, and no talking." Dafa practitioner Ms. Deng Guojun and others refused to cooperate with them and expressed their strong protest. The hooligans from the "610 Office" were compelled to leave them alone, under the power of the Dafa disciples' strong righteous thoughts. Deng Guojun began to recite "On Buddha Law" and all the Dafa disciples there joined her. They recited it nine times. The accomplices of the "610 Office" kept asking them to stop, but Deng Guojun's voice never stopped.

During this time, a fellow practitioner had begun a hunger strike on the first day that he was sent to the brainwashing class to protest the illegal abduction. He left the brainwashing class eight days later.

From day one, all of the practitioners refused to cooperate with the evildoers. They studied the Fa together, practiced the exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts together. The practitioners clarified the truth to the personnel from the "610 office" and also to the accomplices that had been hired to help with the class. They protested the illegal abduction and demanded their unconditional release. Whenever Dafa disciples read Master's articles together, a "610 Office" accomplice would come out to intervene and interfere with them. With her clear and vibrant voice, Deng Guojun always led everybody to continue the study. Dafa disciples rebuffed the requests by "610 Office" accomplices to listen to speeches that attacked Dafa.

A few days passed, and no single actual brainwashing session was given. The perpetrators then planned to play a video that slandered Dafa. Nobody showed up. The officials came to everybody's room to drag the practitioners out. A few of the evildoers stormed into Ms. Deng Guojun's room. She was in her bed and refused to move, no matter how much they verbally abused her or tried to drag her out. A few other Dafa practitioners were also in bed and refused to get up. The evil enforcers spent more than an hour, yet failed to gather all the practitioners together. They were tired and shook their heads, saying, "they are too hard to handle!" Ever since then, they stopped asking Dafa practitioners to go to the brainwashing class or to watch slanderous videos.

Having figured out that they could not change Dafa disciples' strong determination to practice Dafa, lawless personnel from the "610 Office"* ordered a few "transformed" individuals to go to every room to talk with practitioners. However, none of them had the courage to go into Ms. Deng Guojun's room. A few practitioners became confused after listening to the lies told by these collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who had gone astray and renounced Dafa due to brainwashing and torture]. Deng Guojun then studied Master's articles with them, shared experiences with them, and exposed all the lies. The previously-influenced practitioners came back to the righteous path of Fa rectification and cultivation. The Dafa disciples in this brainwashing class formed an invincible body to validate the Fa and eliminate the evil.

After the Chinese New Year, a group of people from the city came to visit the brainwashing class. Dafa disciples were told to stay in their rooms. One Dafa disciple ignored the order and went into Ms. Deng Guojun's room. A group of thugs rushed into the room and carried her out. They slammed her to her bed and punched her. Immediately, Deng Guojun began to recite "On Buddha Law" with her vibrant voice. Soon the entire hallway resonated with Dafa disciples' voices. They recited "On Buddha Law" again and again, and shocked the evildoers.

Wu Ziqiang, the Political and Security Section Chief from the Beihu District Police Department organized a group of vicious policemen. They stormed into the building and locked Dafa disciples into their rooms. There were policemen, personnel from the "610 Office" and their accomplices on both sides of the hallway. With the power of Dafa disciples' strong righteous thoughts, Wu Ziqiang and the other police fled. The entire building was quiet, except for one voice saying, "Wu Ziqiang, you had better stop doing evil things. Good will be rewarded with good, and evil will meet with evil." The voice was reverberating in that space for a long time.

A policewoman standing beside Wu Ziqiang said that a few of the practitioners in the brainwashing class had just been released from prison, and they were great people. An accomplice said that this brainwashing class was the most difficult one that they had ever dealt with. The practitioners were not afraid of anything. They were too hard to handle.

Then Ms. Deng Guojun said, "I was arrested and jailed while validating the Fa in Beijing. The ruthless police asked for my name. I told them I am 'Li Jianxiu,' meaning, 'to cultivate steadfastly till the end.' Wu Ziqiang sent me to a forced labor camp. The labor camp refused to receive me because I was in bad health. The police under Wu Ziqiang did not allow me to go sleep for five days and nights, and they beat me so severely that I vomited blood. They even fabricated a certificate from Chenzhou City People's Hospital that said my health was normal. A few of those fiendish police officers even lived in my house and waited to arrest Dafa practitioners who may come to visit me. My home was turned upside down by the police. I was not allowed to leave my home after I returned from the labor camp, and each week I was only allotted 50 Yuan."**

On March 1, 2002, Dafa disciples were sent to Chenzhou City No. 1 Detention Center. On March 15, all the Dafa disciples went back home in an open and aboveboard manner.

In order to persecute Dafa disciples, the Chenzhou City "610 Office" spent one million Yuan to purchase an old building and remodel it into a prison (brainwashing center). They haven't paid the construction invoices yet and had expected to collect the money from the brainwashing class attendees. The cost is 90 Yuan per day per person. They had already held two brainwashing classes before this session.

In this brainwashing class, not one of the Dafa practitioners cooperated with the evildoers. Instead, they began to study the Fa, practice the exercises, and send forth righteous thoughts as soon as they got there. The Dafa disciples completely denied the evil forces' persecution and wholly broke through the sinister atmosphere in the brainwashing class. No more brainwashing classes have been held there ever since.

*The 610 Office is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political or judicial systems.
