Recently seven Dafa practitioners escaped from the Baimalong Female Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province in an open and above-board manner.

On September 10, 2003, a practitioner named Zhang Po from Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, was illegally arrested by Harbin No. 2 Labor Camp. At Wangjia Labor Camp, Ms. Cang Fengying was jailed in a small cell, Ms. Zhao Dongxia received the "Big Hang Up" torture and Ms. Sun Zhifen's current whereabouts are still unknown.

At 9:00am on November 3, 2003, Mr. Ma Guosen, a practitioner from Gaojiadian, Nongan County, Jilin Province was taken by Liu Fa of the sub-district office to the town government while he was working at his employer. Li Xun, who is the Secretary General of the town government, director Xu of the police substation, Zhang Yanxue, who is the registrar of the household registration department and a policeman forced Ma Guosen to write the "Five Statements". After Ma refused it, Li Xun issued the order to handcuff him, but failed. Strengthened by Master, Ma Guosen escaped using righteous thoughts. Following that, Li Xun issued an order to search Ma Guosen's home, and confiscated his Dafa books. They also illegally arrested Ma's wife, Zhang Fengyun (who is also a Dafa practitioner) and sent her to the Nongan County Public Security Detention Center. There are only an 80-year-old father and a 9-year-old daughter left at Ma Guosen's home now.

At the same time, Ms. Cai Yuying was illegally arrested, since she was reported to the police by Wang Chunling, who is the director of Xinyang Neighborhood Committee. Now, the director's wife, Mrs. Wang Chunling has a swollen face from a toothache and also has red rashes all over her body. She stated that: "If Cai Yuying does not return, I will never recover."

Ms. Li Dexiang, over 40 years old, a practitioner from Jinchang City, Gansu Province went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa in January 2000. In March the same year, she was arrested by the police and was illegally sentenced to one and a half years in a forced labor camp. Since she did not give in at the Pingantai Labor Camp in Gansu Province, her imprisonment was extended for another two months by the police. In March 2002, when she was studying the Fa and sharing experiences with another fellow practitioner at home, she was again illegally arrested. She was illegally detained for over five months. On April 20, 2003, she was reported to the police when she was giving out truth-clarifying materials with a fellow practitioner in the countryside and was illegally detained at the labor camp for over two months. She was released unconditionally after she went on a hunger strike to resist the persecution. In the afternoon on November 3 the same year, she was illegally arrested from her home by the police from Jinchang City Public Security Bureau.

A practitioner (with a pseudo-name Hong Ying) works at a factory. In the afternoon on October 19, 2003, an unexpected incident caused a fire at Hong Ying's workshop. Hong Ying, at the risk of her own life, quickly took the source of the fire out of the workplace. She extinguished the fire quickly and prevented a dangerous incident. Because of this, the factory leader awarded Hong Ying with 500 yuan [500 yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] 100 yuan of the money was used to treat her co-workers to meals and the other 400 yuan were all given to fellow practitioners who are suffering in jail. Hong Ying did not keep a single penny for herself.

Ms. Yao Xiuxin was illegally arrested for clarifying the truth. At present time, she is illegally detained at Dagang District Police Substation in Tianjin. She had been on a hunger strike for five days when we dispatched this news and her life was in great danger. However, the police still did not want to release her, because they wanted to extort ten thousand yuan [500 yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China] from her.

Lan Xiaoqing, a practitioner from Xishui, Hubei Province, was illegally arrested in April 2003. When Lan was illegally detained, he was severely tortured by the police from the Section One of Xishui Public Security Bureau to forcibly obtain a confession. Lan's family were not allowed to visit Lan until today. In order to protest against the persecution, Lan Xiaoqing started a hunger strike on November 16. Overseas Dafa practitioners are asked to please make phone-calls to demand the release of the illegally detained Dafa practitioners.

Liu Jun is the instructor of the Health Section of Hulan Jail (previously named Gezhi Prison). In the summer of 2003, some practitioners were jailed at Hulan Prison after being illegally sentenced. Some of them were distributed to the Health Section and were kept under surveillance by Liu Jun. On the next day, Liu Jun started to force the practitioners to sit on small stools, which are 1.5 inches wide and 5 or 6 nches long from 4:00 am to 9:00 pm. He forced the practitioners to sit on the stool facing the wall, disallowing them to have a single move. They tortured the practitioners in this way for three consecutive days. When asked why he tortured Dafa practitioners so severely, he said: "A secret order from the central government states that if the practitioners are not transformed, we will not be paid our salaries." With the vicious plotting by the "610 Office", a jail was built in the area of Luowen Gardening Center in Nanning City, Guangxi Province. Inside the jail, the male and female cell blocks can hold thousands of prisoners. The intent is to illegally detain Dafa practitioners and brainwash them. At the present time, the "610 Office" is comparing handwriting on all Dafa truth-clarifying materials and letters to identify and arrest Dafa practitioners.

Lin Guizhi, a practitioner from Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province was illegally arrested by the police at the Municipal Flour Factory and takn to the Zhangnan Police Substation. He is now illegally jailed at Wujiawa Labor Camp.

Jiang's Regime has ordered that all Falun Dafa practitioners desiring a passport to go abroad must go to the "610 Office" to obtain a certificate before they can get their passports. The "610 Office" at Shenzhen City strictly follows this illegal order that makes it impossible for Dafa practitioners to get their passports.

A Dafa practitioner Ms. Tian Suhua, 59 years old, resides at No. 6 Unit 4, Residential Building 2, at Chendu Engineering Mechanical Factory General in Shichuan Province. In August 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal, but was detained for several days by the Beijing police immediately after she checked in for her accommodation. Later she was sent back to Chengdu to be illegally jailed and her wages have been deducted by one-third as a fine since then. At 4:00 pm on November 6, 2003, Tian Suhua was illegally arrested by the police, when she was giving out the truth-clarifying materials. She is still illegally jailed.

Dafa Practitioners Jiang Shoulan, Zhang Fengqing, Guo Mingyu and several other fellow practitioners whose names were unknown have been illegally ordered to attend the "brainwashing class."

On November 18, 2003, Hengyang Intermediate Court in Hunan Province once again lost their professional integrity: They illegally sentenced Dafa practitioners from Qidong County: Li Baozhen, Zhang Xinfa, Zhang Xuanshou and Guan Hejun. This court prohibited these Dafa practitioners to appeal.

14. [Yanbian District, Jilin Province] The "610 Office" at Yanbian District Launched a New Round of Persecution of Dafa Practitioners

Since mid November 2003, the "610 Office" at Yanbian District, Jilin Province started a new round of arrests of Dafa practitioners. It is said that the "610 Office" at Longjing City has sent secret agents to go inside Dafa practitioners' homes, while they are at work.

Hebei Province is planning a propaganda campaign of "Two Promotions and One Development" in the whole province: the so-called "promotion of science, promotion of civilization, and development of a healthy society". Its purpose is to denounce belief in god and defame Falun Dafa.

The Propaganda Department of Hebei Provincial Party Committee also organizes to edit a propaganda outline of "Two Promotions and One Development" with six lectures. In the fourth lecture, they defame Master Li Hongshi, Dafa and Dafa practitioners in several places. At the present time, they are training and arranging one administrative level after another. They have already spread the training to the county and city levels. They will also send cadres to the countryside to have activities to promote this agenda. In some locations, they are prepared to spread this activity to the sub-district offices and the neighborhood committees.
