(Clearwisdom.net) When I read a fellow practitioner's article that stated, "Fa study is like eating a meal (to supplement energy)," I remembered an incident that happened about half a year ago.
One night, I went out to hang truth-clarifying banners. [Falun Gong practitioners in China are prohibited from peaceful appeals that are lawfully guaranteed to them by the Chinese constitution. Facing this, they use novel and peaceful means to clarify the truth.] I left a little after 9:00 p.m. and came back around 2:30 a.m. Things did not go well at all that night. Then I tried to figure out what the cause was. I did not have any fear at that time. However, I did not study the Fa very diligently; my heart was not very pure, and I felt that this was possibly the cause.
That night, I had a dream in which I saw that many fellow practitioners and I were eating a meal by a big round table and Master was sitting behind us, watching us benevolently. Many fellow practitioners had eaten so much that they could not move from their chairs. At that time, I also felt very full; however, I had a big stomach and could eat a little more even though I was already full. So I reluctantly ate a little more. Seeing that much delicious food on the table, I felt that I could not eat anymore, although I still wanted to. When I glanced to both sides, I saw there was still a lot of delicious food piled up like a small mountain. At that time, I wondered how we could eat that much. Nevertheless, in my dream I felt that all the food was prepared for us and that we needed to finish it sooner or later.
When I woke up, I came to understand that for a Dafa practitioner, doing Dafa work is like eating food. If the practitioner's level and capacity are limited, he or she will not be able to handle too much Dafa work. How well we Dafa practitioners do in Fa-rectification is directly related to how high our levels and xinxing [mind nature] are. If we can keep studying the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth, while constantly upgrading our own level, then the work will be able to be accomplished better and better, in the same way that one can eat more food when one's stomach becomes bigger and increases its capacity.
