Truth and People's Hearts
The following is an excerpt from the article "A Respectable Fellow Practitioner-My wife."
On April 25th, 1999, my wife and I started riding our bikes at 3:30 AM to appeal. We witnessed the greatness of Dafa disciples. On July 21st and 22nd, 1999, we went to Beijing again. Two policemen and two neighborhood administrators kept watch on our activities all night long, but they did not stop us. Regardless of if I was in jail while she was at home, or she was in jail while I was in home, or if we both were in jail, or if I was forced to become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home, our hearts are always closely connected in Dafa.
I was illegally interrogated in June 2000. She went to the home of the Political Security Office Chair with other fellow practitioners. She spoke with rationality and compassion, and showed how the love between a husband and wife is harmonious and without conflicts with firm faith towards Dafa. The Office Chair were convinced and admiring her, released me the following next day.
Once I was illegally detained. Police intentionally asked people to pass the word to us saying that if we paid them off, they would release me. My wife was not fooled by them. She calmly studied the Fa and wrote letters to the police expressing how wonderful Dafa is. I went on hunger strike to protest, and was soon released unconditionally after more than 20 days.
My wife clarifies the truth very actively, taking every opportunity, such as during the appointments to pay water and power bills. Exchanging gas service cards were also never missed chances to clarify the truth and she achieved good results. Lichun (first day of agricultural calendar two weeks) of 2002 was the first Falun Dafa Day in our District. My wife and my son went to the busy streets to pass out truth clarifying materials, while some people took the initiative to ask for them. Later when she walked on the street, some people pointed at her and told others with admiration: "She is a Falun Gong practitioner!"
Persecution Facts
Chaoyanggou Labor Camp police in Changchun City, Jilin Province formed a "partnership" with prisoners to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. They fabricated many stories to cheat on promotions, and cheated everyone into buying 100 Yuan (average monthly salary of an urban worker is 500 Yuan) military beddings, and would not allow people to take them home after their terms ended, or refund their payment. The labor camp calmly emphasized their "civilized management," but in fact the police constantly beat, cursed, and encouraged prisoners' violence towards Dafa practitioners.
