After reading Teacher's new lecture, "Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference," I corrected one of my notions. I used to think that I contributed to Dafa, did something for Dafa and Teacher. Also I thought that I was very magnificent for spreading Dafa, and helping Teacher in the human world. Actually all the things that I had done, were only for my own benefit. Speaking of the three things that Teacher requires of us, clarifying the truth is to consummate our own universe, sending forth righteous thoughts is to eliminate one's bad notions and evil elements that prevent us from becoming more diligent, and studying the Fa is to enable us to assimilate to the Fa and reach Dafa's standard. All these three things are done for ourselves, not for Teacher or Dafa. Teacher is truly compassionate and great. We are only able to show compassion to the sentient beings that are below our level. To sentient beings whose levels are higher than ours, we really do not have the capability to show compassion to them or do something for them.

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 24, 2002, several Dafa practitioners from Emaokou, Huairen County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province went to the provincial government building to post truth clarification materials and were arrested at 9:00 a.m. At 4:00 p.m. of the same day, four Dafa practitioners, Yang Yanying, Zhang Aihua, Li Meilan and Xing Yindi, were tortured to death by vicious police with electric batons. Three Dafa practitioners, Shi Suping, Wang Mingxia and Wang Yingxiang, were illegally sentenced to 15 years in jail. Of the four practitioners who were tortured to death, two of the bodies were bought with 10,000 Yuan each by their family, one was bought with 8,000 Yuan and the whereabouts of the other body is unknown. Even after the police tortured Dafa practitioners to death, they didn't even allow the families to take their beloved ones' bodies, and had to buy them. The provincial police bureau sent police to monitor the situation, block information about the persecution and threatened the practitioners' families.

(Clearwisdom.net) Han Cuiyuan, her father, Han Deshan, and her elder sister, Han Cuiyan, all Falun Dafa practitioners, suffered many kinds of persecution, including detainment, forced labor, and even imprisonment simply because they believe in Falun Dafa. While Han Cuiyan, was imprisoned in Changchun Heizuizi Female Forced Labor Camp, she endured cruel tortures for a long time for not giving up her belief. Later, Chunyan was forcibly locked in a psychiatric hospital, where she was injected with unnecessary psychiatric medicine and suffered from inhuman torture. Practitioner Han Cuiyuan was illegally sentenced to four years in prison. Shortly after her sentence, we heard news of her death from the persecution. This was in July 2002.
