The Truth and Peoples' Hearts

One Falun Dafa practitioner in a village in northeastern China was connecting broadcasting speaker lines with his brother [In most villages in China, every house is installed with a radio speaker system. Each village's Party secretary will broadcast government radio programs and announce various sorts of local affairs through this system]. They touched the high voltage electricity line by accident, which threw both of them to the ground. In a blur, this Dafa disciple saw a Falun turning on top of his head and shortly afterwards felt much better. He saw his brother had been horribly burnt, and then he thought in his mind, "Master, please save my brother." Then he saw a big Falun turning over his brother's body for a while. After arriving at the hospital, this Dafa disciple only had to be bandaged on his head, and was then allowed to go home. His brother also recovered after four months of hospitalization. Surrounding villagers excitedly passed around news of these miracles all over the region, and since then, many people have started to cultivate.

Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions

The following is an excerpt from the article "Resisting Evil Arrest in a Dignified Manner."

Around 6 p.m. on November 2002, four vehicles with more than ten police officers came to my home. They wanted to gain forced-entry into our apartment and were pounding on our door and windows. I refused to open the door and asked Master to strengthen me. The police had a professional locksmith come and try to unlock my door for more than two hours, but failed. All my neighbors who lived in our apartment building thought they were a group of robbers trying to break in. Later, the police saw that there was no way they could open the door. They pretended to leave, and left some police waiting at the building's entrances. Under the protection of our Master, I walked out of our building after midnight in a dignified manner. Their plan to arrest me failed.

The following is an excerpt from the article "Validating the Fa with Righteous Thoughts--The Story of How a Fellow Practitioner in Saipan Island Attended the International Fa-Conference in Hong Kong."

One Falun Dafa practitioner in Saipan Island works in a Chinese-owned clothes factory. She has to work long hours, and has not had many vacations. She enlightened how important it was to attend the Hong Kong Fa-conference, since the evil article 23 subversion law has been put forth. When she went to request time off to attend this conference from her boss, all of her co-workers laughed at her. Asking time off had been impossible in the past, and plus, her reason was to attend a Falun Gong conference. Her boss showed her the next employment contract, and tried to persuade her to give up this request. If she failed to acquire her employment contract in the following season, she would lose her legal ability to stay in Saipan Island. Under her fellow practitioner's encouragement, she expressed firmly that she would go to Hong Kong. Her indestructible righteous thoughts eliminated all the evil factors. Her boss told her that afternoon, "Please come back to work as soon as you come back."

Truth about the Persecution

On October 27, 2001, Falun Dafa practitioner in Changchun City, Jilin Province Mao Zengshun was arrested while she was hanging truth-clarification banners. She was brutally tortured. Afterwards, both her legs were so injured that she was unable to stand or walk. Even in that condition, she was illegally sentenced to three years of labor camp on March 28, 2002, and sent to the Chaoyanggou Labor Camp. She was tortured with the "Sitting Board" for 15 hours a day (Every day, practitioners are forced to sit on benches while putting their hands on their laps, and keeping their backs straight, often for 18 hours a day. This continue for over fifty days. The authorities even limit practitioners' restroom time. Because of the long time spent sitting on hard benches, practitioners' buttocks grow big sores that hurt badly. Practitioners cannot even urinate normally because of the pain. Because the labor camp is very wet, the police do not allow practitioners to have air ventilation or get any sunlight. Practitioners are locked up for so long that countless red scabies grow on their bodies. They are incomparably itchy and painful). Recently, she has gotten alarmingly thin, she has had difficulty breathing; her hands and feet are constantly freezing cold, and she often faints.

Falun Dafa practitioner from Luancheng County, Hebei Province Cheng Jingshan is over 60 years old. Ever Since July 20, 1999, he has been tortured at the hands of a detention center, a labor camp, the township government, and a senior citizen center, all because he firmly cultivates Falun Dafa. His home has been ransacked and is now empty. Lawless officials locked him inside a big iron cage, cursing and insulting him to the extreme. Some evil individuals even beat him until his leg was fractured. He was unjustly sentenced to three years of labor camp in September 2001, and was sent to the Shijiazhuang labor camp for brainwashing. Police prohibited him from sleeping, force-fed him, and he has been severely tortured mentally and physically.

Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Guihua in Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province has been illegally detained many times, as well as brutally tortured, beaten, and force-fed. She was arrested on April 12, 2002, while passing out truth-clarifying materials, and was sentenced to four years in prison on November 7, 2002. Falun Dafa practitioner in Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province Yang Hailing was arrested on April 5, 2002 while producing truth-clarifying materials, and has been inhumanly tortured. She has been sentenced to twelve years in prison, and has been jailed in the Mishan Detention Center. Falun Dafa practitioner Yu Fengying was arrested on April 25, 2002, beaten until she was unconscious, and injured all over her body. She has been sentenced to three years in prison, and is being jailed in the Mishan Detention Center.

The "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] in Luquan City, Hebei Province held a brainwashing class. Falun Dafa practitioner Du Zengkun went on hunger strike for eight days during the brainwashing class, and was extremely weak. However, the "610" officials went away to tour other locations, and thus neglected his critical condition.

News and Activities Around the World

At McMaster University's campus in Canada, the Pangaea opened its curtains. Falun Dafa practitioners used their exercise demonstrations and dancing to express the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa during this huge festival. After the dance by the Lotus Art Group ended, two hosts suggested that everyone applaud again, and announced, "They are Falun Dafa practitioners."

News from China

I am a retired medical worker in Beijing. I was arrested during the 2002 Spring Festival because I was passing out Falun Dafa truth-clarifying flyers. While they were conducting a physical check up on me, all sorts of sicknesses surfaced, some of them I had never experienced before. I knew Master was saving me. I was locked in the hospital, and closely watched 24 hours a day. The police took away my Dafa materials and all the cash from my home [Average monthly salary of an urban worker is 500 Yuan]. I live at home now under close surveillance. Still, no difficulties in the world can shake my solid faith in Dafa. I will cultivate Falun Dafa until the very end!
