(Clearwistom.net) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner from Pingshan County, Hebei Province. One morning in 2002 all of a sudden three policemen came to my home and asked me to write the so called three statements [A declaration that he or she is remorseful for practicing Falun Gong and guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never again associate with any Falun Gong practitioners] and pressured me to tell them with whom I had been in contact. I did not cooperate with them. Then, by force, the three of them illegally took me to the police station. They handcuffed me to a chair from behind. I began to protest against the persecution by staging a hunger strike. They tortured me day and night for several days and did not allow me to sleep, then they kept me in Pingshan County Detention Center for three months. Finally, they forcefully took me to a brainwashing center . The head of the "610 Office" [A bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] called my family several times, trying to extort 2000 Yuan [one month's salary for an urban worker is about 500 Yuan]. I broke through all the obstacles and left the brainwashing center with my righteous thoughts. Since then, I have been forced to go from place to place to avoid arrest.
On November 12, 2002, I was arrested with another practitioner by police at the Huolu Police Station and we were taken to the brainwashing center at Luquan City. I went on a hunger strike in protest and refused to tell them my name and address. Several evil perpetrators forced me to the ground and wanted to take photographs of me. They checked my photo on the Internet and found out that I am a Falun Dafa practitioner from Pingshan County. Then those policemen ate and drank to their hearts' content and boasted that they would receive a 2000 Yuan reward for each Falun Dafa practitioner they captured, and all the expenses would be covered by Dafa practitioners themselves.
The Pingshan County police station sent me to the town of Chengguan where about 200 people from the police station, the police substation, the iron and steel factory and the residents of the town tried to brainwash me. I clarified the truth to them with compassion in order to save them. The majority of kind-hearted people showed their sympathy upon learning the truth. In order to resist the persecution I went on hunger strike again. However, the evil perpetrators tried their best to involve other members of my family. They not only fired me from my work unit but also took away my husband's job and had my son kicked out of his work unit. Neither of them are practitioners. Even under that kind of circumstance, which was already beyond what my family could endure, the evil perpetrators Wang Genying, Feng Qingfang and Hou Congli extorted 4000 Yuan from my family and put me into Shijiazhuang City Detention Center. On my way to the detention center, the head of the "610 office" Hou Congli said ferociously, "Do you know how I will make you suffer? I nearly pressured your husband to death. He is now suffering from a mental disorder."
I was kept at the No. Five Brigade of the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp where more than 100 collaborators (Former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture) attempted to brainwash me around the clock. They rotated every four hours, not letting me go to bed, not even letting me close my eyes. They also talked about Teacher's Fa out of context and dragged me around on the floor in circles in an attempt to make me dizzy so as to achieve their goal. I suffered severely from the torture for countless days and nights.
I thought to myself, "I am a disciple of Lord Buddha. How could I leave any loopholes for those buffoons to make advantage of?" I clarified the truth to them and practised the exercises. However, each time when I practiced the exercises the head of the brigade name Qi would punch me and kick me until I was black and blue. There was no personal freedom whatsoever in the detention center; however I did not cooperate with the evil with even a single thought or action. They threatened me that if I refused to be "reformed" I must bear all the consequences, that I could end up in the forced labor camps or be sentenced to imprisonment. I thought, "The path of my cultivation was arranged by my Teacher, so whatever they say does not count." Although they used all kinds of instruments and tricks they still could not affect my persistence in cultivating Falun Dafa. Finally, they phoned the county government office to tell them to inform my family that they had to pay another 4000 Yuan. My husband phoned me when he arrived at the gate of the detention center (We were not allowed to meet with each other) and told me that he was ordered to stop working and his entire salary was deducted. He said he could not bear the sufferings anymore so he begged me to be "reformed;" otherwise he would divorce me. The next day the brigade leader named Wang called me over and said, "Please cooperate with us. You have been here for quite a long time (two months) and our effort has had no effect. Now, I don't want you to mention your Teacher or Dafa. You only need to write the three statements and then you can go home to take care of your husband and your child." I thought to myself, "How could I make any guarantee statements to him?" So I turned around and walked towards the door. He stopped me and asked me to pack my things and leave. When I walked towards the gate my husband was waiting outside in his car.
