The following is a partial list of cases of persecution of students and staff at Dalian University of Science and Engineering in Liaoning Province, China.

Huang Hongqi, male, 31-years old, a Ph.D. student, majored in mechanics. He was illegally arrested in September 1999, and illegally sentenced to 3 years of forced labor in December 1999. In the same month, he was dismissed from the university.

Jin Xin, male, 33-year-old, was a Ph.D. student in Chemistry. He was arrested illegally in September 1999, sent to labor camp for three years in December 1999 and was dismissed from his school as well.

Zhang Tongbin, male, 28-year-old, was a master's degree candidate in Chemistry. He was arrested illegally in September 1999, and arrested again in November 1999 and dismissed from his school later.

Ye Mingjun, male, 25-year-old, was a student in the Civil Engineering School. He was illegally arrested in November 1999 and later dismissed by the school.

Li Dong, male, 25-year-old, was in Civil Engineering School. He was forced to withdraw from the school in March 2001 and was arrested in November 2002.

Lin Shoukui, male, 23-year-old, was in the Mechanics Department. He was illegally suspended from the school for one year in March 2001.

Liu Jia, female, 25-year-old, was in the Electronics and Communication School. She was illegally arrested in 1999 and dismissed from the school. She was sentenced to labor camp for three years in 2001.

Tian Songsong, female, 27-year-old, was in the Electronics and Communication School. She was illegally arrested in 1999 and was suspended from the school for one year.

Li Chunling, female, 28-year-old, was in the Software School. She was illegally arrested twice in 1999 and sent to a brainwashing class that was held in a drug-rehabilitation center. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor, was laid off and fined 5000 Yuan.

Song Meilan, female, 28-year-old, was in the Mathematics Department. She was illegally arrested in September 1999, dismissed from her position and sent to a labor camp for three years in 2000.

Wang Hongwei, male, 25-year-old, was in the Electronics and Communication School. He was arrested illegally in January 2000, and forced to withdraw from the school that March. He was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor in February 2002. He got out of the labor camp last September and has now become homeless to avoid further persecution.
