(Clearwisdom.net) Among us is a 50-year-old lady, Dayi (Chinese for "auntie", a term of affection for older women in China), who is known for her outgoing personality, frankness and kind-heartedness. She walks like a young person and is very organized and efficient.
Dayi maintains a pure heart and moves forward in the Fa diligently. She reads Zhuan Falun (the main book of Falun Dafa) from beginning to end once every two to three days, and is able to enlighten to many Fa principles and improves steadily. When other practitioners quote Teacher Li, she can easily recite from memory what follows the quotes. Dayi can recite many of Teacher's articles as well as Essentials For Further Advancement. Dayi is able to maintain strong righteous thoughts and achieves excellent results in her activities to spread Falun Dafa.
Dayi strives to do the three things that Teacher Li asked us to do. In addition to sending forth righteous thoughts four times a day with practitioners around the world and at other times with the local practitioners, she tries her best to do it every hour. She never slacks off. Since she learned Falun Dafa, she has never missed the exercises because she got up late and was too busy. She does not have to sleep much. She usually studies the Fa and practices the exercises during the night, and her energy level is always high. Dayi's husband is not a practitioner and is against her going out to talk about Falun Dafa to other people, but she is able to still hand out a lot of truth-clarifying material.
Once, before dawn, when it was still dark, she was posting the materials when a police vehicle stopped by her. A few policemen came out of the van and demanded her to get in the van. She stood there and just looked at them. They searched her pockets and took her money. Dayi put out one of her hands in front of the policeman and he was taken aback. He then put the money back in her hand. The policeman said to her, "Just tell us who your work unit is. You don't have to tell us your name." Dayi just ignored them. They waited a little, went back to the van and drove away. As if nothing had happened, Dayi finished what she had to do, went on to buy some breakfast and went home.
In addition, Dayi does a good job when talking to people face to face about Falun Dafa. A few days ago, a practitioner saw her on the street and asked how she was doing in clarifying the truth, she said, "They are chasing after me for a copy of Zhuan Falun."
Dayi may appear to be absent-minded, but she pays a lot of attention to detail. As soon as she heard about practitioners arriving from out of town, she would come within 20 minutes. After she set them up, she wouldn't leave until she knew that their meals were taken care of. She is truly someone we all respect as a fellow practitioner.
