Truth and People's Heart

I used to suffer from high blood pressure, heart disease, insomnia, illness of the cervical vertebra and my right hand and right leg were half paralyzed. I could not take care of myself. Before the Sixteenth Party's Congress, my cousin came to my home to clarify the truth and led my whole family to read Zhuan Falun. Several days later, my blood pressure went down and every one of my body functions turned out normal. From then on I wanted to treat my mother-in-law well, although I have not talked to her for over twenty years, and my family grew harmonious. All my family members believe in Dafa and my mother in her 80s is following us to learn the Fa. My cousin taught me to send forth righteous thoughts and she took me with her to distribute truth clarification flyers.

In August 2002, Xu Baojin, the Politics and Law Committee Secretary from Liaozhong County, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province had kidnapped a large number of Dafa practitioners and sent them into brainwashing sessions where they were brutally tortured, both physically and mentally. In late 2002, Xu fell ill, and in March 2003 he also was arrested in Shenyang on charges of corruption. He is currently undergoing interrogation.

Don't forget our friends and families when clarifying the truth. After I graduated from college, I lost touch with schoolmates. A while ago, a good friend from college sent me an e-mail entitled, "My heart ached from looking for you"! I quickly got in touch with him and he was shocked when he learned I was practicing Falun Gong. His mind was filled with the evil propaganda spread by the Chinese government. I answered many of his questions and I told him that it doesn't matter even if he didn't understand or believe in Falun Gong. We were good friends and knew each other, so I hoped he wouldn't jump to conclusions on Falun Gong. He happily agreed. During Fa-rectification period of the cosmos, some people have very close predestined relationship with Dafa practitioners and they place high hopes in us. It would be very sorry if we don't do well or forget about them during truth clarification.

Facts About the Persecution

Qi Chenggang, head of the "610 Office"* in Fuyang City, Anhui Province brutally tortured Falun Gong practitioners after the persecution began. He illegally sentenced the practitioners to heavy prison terms and extorted large amounts of money from them. He kidnapped the practitioners, sent them to brainwashing classes and ordered vicious thugs to beat them. He also humiliated the practitioners by forcing them to parade through the streets.

International News

Dafa practitioners in Kanto, Japan held a group Fa study and exchanged experiences. They realized the importance of Jiang's case and decided to appeal and send forth righteous thoughts in front of the Chinese consulate for four days, from April 12 to April 15.

The media in Taiwan widely reported Taiwan practitioners' lawsuit against the Hong Kong government for human rights violations. Here are the details:

China Times: four members from the Taiwan Falun Dafa Association, Zhu Wanqi, Liao Xiaofeng, Zhang Zhenyu and Lu Liqing filed a lawsuit in a Hong Kong court through an attorney, in which they charged the Hong Kong government with severe violation of their human rights, which the government committed by violently deporting them under the excuse of "security." Wu Huilin, secretary of the Zhonghua Human Rights Association said she admires the four Taiwan Falun Gong practitioners for their courage of pressing charges for the sake of upholding basic human rights.

Liberty Times: 82 Taiwan Falun Gong practitioners went to Hong Kong in late February to attend a cultivation experience sharing conference legally held in Hong Kong. However, they were forcibly detained and violently deported by the certain representatives from the Hong Kong government, and many practitioners were injured during the process. Four practitioners decided to file a lawsuit against the Hong Kong government and demand punishment and compensation. This is the first case of Taiwan residents suing the Hong Kong government for violation of human rights.

Before I began practicing Falun Dafa, my whole family suffered pain: my grandfather and father were critically ill, and my grandmother and mother had chronic minor illnesses. Falun Dafa brought us hope and happiness from then on. After July 20, 1999, Jiang's political villains group brought us innumerable pain and sufferings through its persecution of Falun Gong. My parents and I were illegally detained and faced police extortion. On so-called "sensitive days" the police would break into my home like burglars and steal valuables. They also threatened my grandparents, who are more than 70 years of age.

I used to suffer from cancer and had had been told that I had only two months to live. I was fortunate to begin practicing Falun Dafa. After two weeks of Fa study and exercise, the change in me was obvious. After the persecution began, I continued to practice at home. I visited Dafa websites and was found out by the police station. As a result, I was detained and interrogated twice and was twice forced to leave home to avoid arrest. I have benefited enormously from Dafa practice. If I didn't practice Dafa, how could I have possibly lived if I was tortured like this?
