Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions

Once, I was riding a bicycle when I saw a woman over 60 lying on the ground on the roadside. Her eyes were closed and she was vomiting. A little girl was crying beside her. All the passers-by only looked at her without offering help to her. When I offered her my help, the woman woke up and said that she was OK. After I saw that she was in good spirits, I realized that it was the right time to tell her the facts about Falun Gong. I told her, "Do you believe in Falun Gong? Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. The reports on television about Falun Gong are false. Many people passed by you, but none of them came to help you. If any Falun Gong practitioners see your situation like this, they will come to help. In fact, I am a Falun Gong practitioner."

The Nanhu Forced Labor Camp took advantage of some loopholes in Dafa practitioners' thoughts due to their attachments and used underhanded methods to shake their righteous thoughts. They took parts of the Fa out of context and distorted the words to deceive the practitioners. They sent some steadfast Dafa disciples to do the heaviest labor and forced all the Dafa disciples to watch the propaganda against Dafa. They conducted psychological tests on some Dafa practitioners to find weaknesses that they can take advantage of. They forced Dafa disciples to study the so-called rules and regulations of the labor camp, do group drills and sing revolutionary songs. My experience after going through all of these things is that we need to stay vigilant, calm and rational at all times. We should ignore them and focus on our faith in Dafa. We should send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors in other dimensions behind the persecution, and distinguish our own notions and thought karma so that we can eliminate them. After sending forth righteous thoughts, I felt that my mind would be much clearer.

Because of my attachments, I went against my conscience and wrote down things that a Dafa practitioner should not. After I read Teacher's new articles, I realized that I was wrong. I immediately wrote a solemn declaration and published it on Clearwisdom, announcing all that I wrote that did not meet the standard of Dafa to be null and void. While clarifying the truth, I found that people were very interested in learning about Falun Gong. Once a person told me after receiving a flyer from me, "I have been waiting for this." At another time, we clarified the truth about Falun Gong to a mother and her daughter. Initially, they said that they did not have a VCD player at home, but after they listened to me for a while, the daughter said, "Mom, you can take it with you and watch it at grandma's house." She then happily accepted the VCD.

Facts about the Persecution

Information from within the "610 Office" of Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province confirms that it was the family members of Liu Zijing who reported Dafa disciple Liu Jie to the authorities and eventually led to Mr. Liu's death from torture. Liu Zijing was temporarily transferred to the "610 Office" to help persecute Dafa practitioners. After Liu Zijing found out Liu Zijing's whereabouts, he immediately notified Tong Shuangqun of the security section to arrest Mr. Liu.

Shortly before March 5, 2003, the police in Changchun City as well as other cities undertook a major campaign to arrest practitioners all over China. The police were assigned a quota of arrests that was tied to the size of their bonus. It was said that the central government gave an appropriation of 1.4 billion Yuan RMB for this campaign. The police broke into the homes of anyone that they suspected to be Falun Gong practitioners and arrested them if there was any indication of their practicing Falun Gong.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Naizhi of Mengying County, Shandong Province was paraded around town with a sign hanging around her neck. In June 2001, she was illegally held in a detention center and tortured there. Later, she was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment and sent to Jinan Woman's Prison. Her second younger brother was sentenced to 3 years of forced labor for practicing Falun Gong. After July 20, 1999, Ms. Du Fuying was illegally detained, and her second son has been detained by police three times, sent to brainwashing sessions twice and detained by his employer once. On March 23, 2001, she was sentenced to 3 years of forced labor. In June 2001, her daughter was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment. Liu Nailun was detained 3 times and forcibly sent to brainwashing sessions twice. On March 23, 2001, Liu Nailun was sentenced to 3 years of forced labor.

Dafa practitioners Mr. Feng Shudong and his wife Li Xiuyun were arrested on March 5, 2003 while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials in Tiantun Village, Taijitun Town, Huludao City. The authorities tortured them in order to extract information from them. On March 6, 2003, the police searched and ransacked their home. Later, they were held in the detention center of Huludao City. Feng Shudong suffered from heart problems due to the torture. Li Xiuyun suffered from high blood pressure (up to 250 mmHg) and myocardial infarction, and she is not unable to walk. On March 17, 2003, the police asked her family to take her home due to her dangerously poor health. On April 1, 2003, the police tried to abduct her back to the detention center, but fortunately she was not home at that time.

Dafa practitioners Mr. Du Zhiliang and his wife Jia Sufen of Zhoukou City, Henan Province were illegally detained and later sent to a forced labor camp, because they persisted in their beliefs. On March 11, 2003, the policeman Gao Feng of Quanghui District, Zhoukou City ransacked their home along with several other policemen, and abducted this couple once again. Jia Sufen is detained in Huaxi County and Du Zhiliang is detained in the detention center of Zhoukou City.

Persecution cases of Dafa disciples in Tonghua City, Jilin Province: Ms. Sun Shuzhen was illegally detained for a month for going to Beijing to appeal in the year 2000. Before the Spring Festival of 2001, her home was searched and ransacked for 3 times, but the police did not find any evidence to prosecute her. On the fourth time of searching and ransacking her home, the police framed her by placing Dafa materials underneath her bed. As a result, she was illegally sentenced to forced labor and has been detained in the Changchun Female Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Dong Yuanxiang was illegally detained for 3 months after she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000. On March 23, 2001, she was forcibly taken to a Communist Party School for brainwashing sessions for 39 days. After that, she was sentenced to 1 year of forced labor. Shortly before the 16^th Party Congress, she was once again sentenced to forced labor. Ms. Guo Yujing was detained in the detention center of Tonghua City. Later, she was sentenced to 1 year of forced labor and sent to the Changchun Heizuizi Detention Center for Women.

On March 28, 2003, the head of the Xuchang County Tobacco Product Company in Henan Province asked the three Dafa practitioners employed in his company and their family members to meet him at his office. He demanded that a "guarantee statement" [a statement to declare that he or she is remorseful for practicing Falun Gong and guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never again associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners] be signed, or the practitioners will be asked to resign from their jobs. He also said that the Dafa practitioners' spouses employed in the same company would also be dismissed if the practitioners refused to cooperate with him. Dafa practitioner Zhang Huafen refused to sign the document, and she was fired. She is now going from place to place to avoid further persecution.

Dafa disciples Wang Yan and her sister Wang Jing of Zhoukou City, Henan Province went to Zhengzhou City to visit their parents during the 2003 Spring Festival break of their school. On February 4, 2003, police arrested both of them while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials. They were detained in the Heizhuang No. 1 Woman's Detention Center, where they launched a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. The police detained them for 43 days more than allowed by law. On March 18, 2003, they were sentenced to 1 year of forced labor and sent to Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp.

The Wangchun Forced Labor Camp used collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] to convey lies to Dafa disciples. The steadfast practitioners are deprived of sleep, confined in solitary compartments, beaten and cursed, and forced to remain squatting for long periods of time. When they refused to give up their beliefs, the police would torture them with a variety of vicious means. Their arms and legs were covered with cuts and bruises from the beatings they took from the police.
