Many Dafa disciples have recognized the importance of prosecuting the evil head in the human world. Dafa disciples around the globe are sending righteous thoughts to eliminate the old forces' interference on the lawsuit. However, the vicious old forces are also making their last ditch struggle which manifests in an array of interference affecting Dafa disciples' sending of righteous thoughts. Here I shall mention two specific forms the interference may present :
- Inside China, all work places are constantly receiving policy documents from higher up, and in recent days the main focus has been on two issues, one is SARS and the other is about Falun Gong. As a result, Dafa disciples are experiencing a new round of persecution. Dafa disciples are being asked to write all kinds of guarantees; included are Dafa disciples who had written such guarantees before against their will to give up the practice, but are still practicing. At the beginning, many Dafa disciples thought it was targeting at them individually. So they thought as long as they could avoid writing words against Dafa, they would have met the requirements of Dafa. I myself have also experienced such interference several times. Later, I realized that the dates the demands were made upon me to do this or that were significant. The first time was the date set for the judge to meet with the prosecuting attorney. The second time was again the time the presiding judge met with the prosecuting attorney. Since then, I was pestered once every two or three days threatening me with dismissal and dispatch to the brainwashing class unless I wrote the guarantees. At first, I thought it was targeting me or the Dafa disciples at my workplace. Later, after comparing the dates of my harassment with those of the proceedings of the lawsuit, I realized that all the interference was targeting at the lawsuit to diminish Dafa disciples' power as a whole. When I asked around, several other practitioners had also experienced different kinds of interference during those days. No doubt, by diverting Dafa disciples' attention and energy, the old forces hoped to stall the proceeding of the lawsuit.
- There is another form of interference that is quite insidious yet damaging. By using the attachments that we still have, the old forces attempt to erect partitions between us thereby diminishing our power as a whole. Plus, they exacerbate these attachments to such an extent that makes us feel impossible to overcome them so that our righteous faith is shaken.
A couple close by me are both practitioners. The wife told me that recently they had often argued over trivial matters causing difficulty for them to cooperate and work together, and seriously affecting their Fa-study and sending of righteous thoughts. By looking inward, the conflicts seemed to have been resolved. However, a few days later the same conflicts re-emerged, and they were unable to overcome them. Both husband and wife were at a loss as to why things became like that. Similar situations also happened between daughters and mothers-in-law, between fellow practitioners who have been working together regularly. During experience sharing, it often turned into a finger pointing exercise. There was considerable friction severely weakening our power as one body. In the past several years of cultivation, Dafa disciples have been doing well looking inward, and being compassionate to each other. Why the disharmony all of a sudden? In fact, this is another form of interference by the evil rotten ghouls. This requires us to, while looking inward, thoroughly eliminate the elements of interference by the old forces, and not get trapped in only tackling the specific problems concerned. We cannot let the old forces lead us by the nose. By letting go of all attachments and focusing on things Dafa disciples should to do, we are completely denying the old forces.
In fact, Teacher has already made this clear in the article, "Expounding on the Fa" (Essentials For Further Advancement): "When a tribulation arrives, if you, a disciple, can truly maintain an unshakable calm or be determined to meet different requirements at different levels, this should be sufficient for you to pass the test. If it continues endlessly and if there do not exist other problems in your xinxing or conduct, it must be that the evil demons are capitalizing on the weak spots caused by your lack of control."
At this critical moment in Fa-rectification, we must keep rational and clear-headed at all times.
