[China] Falun Dafa Practitioners Keep Clarifying the Truth to People around the World

May 13th is World Falun Dafa Day, and the 11th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the human world. Practitioners in our city put up a ten-meter-long blue banner, with yellow words announcing, "Celebration on the 11th Anniversary of Falun Dafa's Spreading in the World." Banners with "Falun Dafa is Good!" "Falun Dafa is a Righteous Law!" could be seen fluttering everywhere in the morning breeze. Golden signs with red words saying, "The World Needs Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" glittered on telephone poles in the morning sun and attracted much attention from passers-by.

Although guards were stationed at all the crossroads and residential areas due to the SARS crisis, Falun Dafa practitioners keep clarifying the truth using various means. Truth-clarifying signs, VCDs and other materials are seen everywhere on telephone poles, walls, and in residential buildings.

[Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] The "610 Office"* Illegally Abducts Seven Falun Dafa Practitioners

In May, practitioner Zhao Wenfeng was illegally abducted for distributing truth-clarifying materials. On May 12th, seven more practitioners, including Liu Zhaohong, were abducted as well. The police searched Liu Zhaohong's home without using proper legal procedures.

In March, Pang Fang and Gao Xufang, employees from the Radio & Television Broadcasting Bureau, were illegally abducted while distributing truth-clarifying materials. They are still being detained in a brainwashing session held by the "610 Office" at Zhangjiatun of Jiaozhou City, and are suffering both physically and mentally. However, the policemen who illegally abducted them extorted 30,000 Yuan [equal to about five years' annual income of an average urban worker in China] from the Broadcasting Bureau as their bonus. The "610 Office" from the Jiaozhou City also extorted 20,000 Yuan from the Broadcasting Bureau in the name of so-called "living expenses" for the two practitioners detained.

[Handan City, Hebei Province] A Falun Dafa Practitioner Nobly Walks Out of the Demon's Den

A practitioner from Handan City was taken away in Beijing while he was appealing for Falun Dafa. He was then illegally sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp, where he suffered from torture of all kinds. His eardrum and jaw were broken. His abdomen and heart were severely injured. But he resolutely resisted the evil's persecution, and refused to write the so-called "statements." On October 25, 2001, he was released on bail for medical treatment because his life was in grave danger. In September 2002, he was taken away once again and kept in the Handan Forced Labor Camp for eight months. During detention, he always kept righteous thoughts and didn't cooperate with the evil. Later, he walked out of the forced labor camp nobly.

[Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Sun Zhenguo and His Wife Are Illegally Taken Away

Around 1:00 p.m. on May 15th, Sun Zhenguo and his wife were illegally taken away from their home. Police from the Chaoyang Public Security Bureau also searched their home and confiscated Dafa materials.

[Yunmeng County, Hubei Province] Current Situation of Falun Dafa Practitioners Being Persecuted

Guan Zhongqiang has been illegally detained in the Chengnan Detention Center of Yunmeng County since July 2002.

Xu Fangjun was illegally taken away while reading Dafa books at home in March 2003. He has been detained in the Chengnan Detention Center ever since.

Xu Qiurong (female) and Wu Xinghua (female) were illegally taken away while explaining the truth of Falun Dafa in April 2003. They have been detained in the Chengnan Detention Center ever since.

Xu Lihong (female) was illegally taken away while explaining the truth of Falun Dafa in May 2003. She is still detained in the Chengnan Detention Center.

Cheng Rongqing (female) was taken away while reading Dafa books at home in May 2003. She is being detained in the Chengnan Detention Center.

[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Zhang Lin's Wife and Daughter Are Illegally Taken Away

On May 15, the Harbin Police Department searched practitioner Zhang Lin's home and confiscated a large quantity of Dafa materials. They also took away Zhang Lin's wife and his daughter. Zhang Lin's current situation is unknown.

[Heyuan City, Guangdong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Detained in Brainwashing Center

Practitioners Huang Huolan and Zhao Haiqin were forcibly abducted several times by the local "610 Office" and sent to the brainwashing center in Shuishanzhuang of Heyuan City. However, the evil had to release them since they are very steadfast in their cultivation. By the end of this April, the local "610 Office" and the "610 Office" of the Guangdong Police Department took them away again. It has been reported that they have been sent to the Shanshui Brainwashing Center. Due to the persecution, these two practitioners' families are in a very difficult situation. Zhao Haiqin's youngest son is only three years old. He needs his mother to look after him. Also, her family members had to sell their family business since there has been nobody to take care of the store. Huang Huolan's daughter is a senior in high school. Her studies have been affected without her mother at home. Currently the two practitioners' husbands have been deceived by the web of lies created by Jiang's regime. They are cooperating with the police in persecuting their wives.

[Jiedong City, Guangdong Province] The Chengxi Police Substation Persecutes Falun Dafa Practitioner Lu Wenjuan

The Chengxi Police Substation of Jiedong City illegally searches Falun Dafa practitioners' homes on a large scale. Practitioner Lu Wenjuan was sent to a detention center simply because the police found some truth-clarifying materials in her home. During detention, policeman Wu Chaofeng beat her while police instructor Lin Shiliang interrogated her. After that, she was transferred to the Jiedong Detention Center and then to the brainwashing center for three months. With powerful righteous thoughts, she walked out of the demon's den nobly and became destitute and homeless for several months to avoid further persecution. After she went back home, she was taken away and detained again during the 16th Party Congress. When she told the policemen, "Cherishing Dafa is cherishing your own life," Zhen, the director of the detention center, Gao, a police guard, and another police guard beat her brutally with their shoes until her face became black and blue all over. Lu Wenjuan has been jailed four times because of her belief.

It is confirmed that Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Min was illegally taken away by the Changchunlu Police Substation in Xigang District of Dalian City. The person who was in charge of her abduction is Wang, a Vice Director of the Security Team, and Zhang. [Shandong Province] The "610 Office" Keeps Persecuting Falun Dafa Practitioners

The "610 Offices" in Qingdao City and Jiaozhou City keep persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. Practitioner Zhao Wenfeng was illegally taken away while distributing truth-clarifying materials in early May. She is currently being detained. On May 12th, the police illegally abducted seven practitioners, including Liu Zhaohong, by means of making deceptive phone calls. These practitioners' whereabouts are currently unknown.

[Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] University Teacher Abducted

Zhang Yuhua, a teacher from the Russian Language Department of Nanjing Teacher's College, was arrested in 2002. Her whereabouts have been unknown since then. Her family members are very concerned about her.

[Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Zhang Jia'an Is Sentenced Three Times for Saying "Falun Dafa is Good!"

52-year-old Zhang Jia'an, a practitioner from the Tashan Village of Ganwang Town, Haicheng City, Liaoning Province, was taken away and sentenced to one year in jail for appealing for Falun Dafa in Beijing on October 17, 1999. Not long after he was released, the Ganwang Public Security Branch searched his home and found a Dafa book. He was sentenced to two years in jail. After he was released again, he was taken away for saying something good about Falun Dafa while riding on a train. The police on the train sent him to the Shenyang Detention Center where he was illegally sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. Presently, the police do not allow his family members to see him. His family is going through rough times.

[Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Fu Ying Is Detained in the Dabei Prison

Fu Ying (female) was illegally detained for fifteen days simply because she went to Beijing to validate Falun Dafa. In April 2000, she went to Beijing again and was detained for fifteen days again. In July 2001, she was taken away while at a truth-clarifying materials site in Beijing. She was then illegally sentenced to nine years in prison. In early 2003, she was transferred from a prison in Beijing to the Dabei Prison in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. She is very steadfast in her cultivation practice even under the high pressure in jail.

[Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Two Former "610 Office" Directors Involved in Persecuting Falun Dafa Practitioners

Yang Guangming is 46 years old, and is the former "610 Office" director of Linzhi Group. Currently he is the director of the City Administration Office in Linzhi Group. His cellular phone number is 86-13707309249.

Chen Huiming, 50 years old, is the former "610 Office" vice director of Linzhi Group. Her phone number is 86-730-8562394.

Yang Guangming and Chen Huiming have actively participated in persecuting Falun Dafa. They viciously slandered Teacher and Dafa, illegally conducted body searches of Dafa practitioners, forcibly sent practitioners to brainwashing centers, secretly taped practitioners' phone calls, and arranged for people to follow practitioners. They have spread rumors and threatened practitioners' family members and relatives.

[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Violence in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp: Two Policemen Torture a Weak Woman

Today I met a family member of a Falun Dafa practitioner who is being detained in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp. He told me sadly that his wife is being detained in the labor camp and is suffering a lot. He said that she was tortured severely. Since last October, in order to so-called "transform" her, two policemen tortured her using all possible means, such as cuffing and hanging her up in the air, electric shocks, and forcing her to half squat down for a long time. He also said that on the "visiting day" of every month, everyone is forced to slander Falun Dafa and Falun Dafa's Teacher before they were allowed to see their family members.

[Sihui City, Guangdong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Abducted

In mid May, practitioners Zhang Yani (female), Liang Liqiong (female), Feng Yuer (female), and Chen Zhenqun were illegally abducted. Currently they are being detained in the Sihui Detention Center.

[Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] The "610 Office" Illegally Abducts Falun Dafa Practitioner

Zhou Guichan is a 60-year-old female practitioner. She lives in the dormitory of the Huangpu Ship Manufacturing Plant in Guangzhou City. The Party Secretary and the Security Section of the Plant unreasonably asked her to show up at the plant office every day. Simply because she didn't agree to such an unreasonable requirement, about four men went to her home and forcibly took her away on April 17th. On April 18th, the Security Section confessed that she was abducted at home and sent to the so-called "Guangzhou Law Study Seminar" (it is actually a brainwashing class) located at Xizhoulu Road of Guangzhou City, where she would be forced to "study" until she was "transformed."

Before this case, two Falun Dafa practitioners, Tang Xiuying (female) and another female practitioner whose last name is Zeng, were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. They were illegally sentenced to one and one-half years in prison. Currently they are detained in the Cuotou Forced Labor Camp.

* "610 Office" -- an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
