Facts of the Persecution
I began to practice Falun Gong in July 1999. I had several diseases for decades, but was cured after practicing Falun Gong. The persecution of Falun Gong launched by Jiang and his followers destroyed my once happy family. My son and daughter-in-law were threatened and face the possibility of losing their jobs at anytime. On October 30, 2001, I was illegally detained for twenty days for practicing Falun Gong. After I was released, the police came to my home to harass us and disturbed our regular daily life.
I was detained on four separate occasions for practicing Falun Gong. To avoid further persecution, I was driven from my home and now live with no permanent home. After I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa, I was imprisoned in a forced labor camp. On March 1, 2001 in the forced labor camp, guards physically tortured me using electric batons. I was on the brink of death. Being afraid to take any responsibility for my death, the labor camp had to release me. In September 2002, staff from the labor camp forcefully carried me out from my home. They used electric batons and leather shoes to shock and hit me about my head. In the labor camp, I had been force-fed several times. They shocked me with electric batons for a long time. Continuous torture made me very weak (vomiting blood) and I have had difficulty recovering.
