Some experiences when clarifying the truth in online chat rooms: I felt deeply frustrated when I first began to clarify the truth in online chat rooms. I was either cursed at when I opened my mouth, or I was quickly "kicked" away, or I could never get to the microphone, but as long as I persisted with faith and kept righteous thoughts, I could always break through. The words of those practitioners who are in a well-cultivated state have energy and can eliminate other people's bad thoughts. The tone and manner with which we clarify the truth is very important. If we keep a harmonious state of mind, after a while the chat room participants would sense that we are kind and good people, and the slanders would collapse of themselves. Several times, when I clarified the truth at a public chat room with several hundred people, dozens of people cursed me at the same time, but I guarded my character and calmly finished reading aloud my message and answered their questions, one by one. Immediately someone said, "Falun Gong is truly admirable." Some apologized on the spot. A fellow practitioner realized we improve very fast by clarifying the truth through chatting online.

Martin Lee, member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council from the Democratic Party, will lead a seven-member group to visit the US for the second time. They will meet with high-level US government officials, US senators and congressmen, and will lobby against the enactment of Article 23 of Hong Kong's Basic Law. At a recent meeting held by the Hong Kong legislative council, members from the Democratic Party called Article 23 "white terror," accusing it of being too broad.

Cyunichi Shinbun, a Japanese newspaper, reported on May 26: On May 25, Falun Gong practitioners held a signature collection activity in the Sakae area of Nagoya City, in an effort to help rescue Kaneko Yuko and to call for her quick release. The Chinese government had Kaneko Yuko arrested in May 2002 for distributing Falun Gong flyers in Beijing.

Economic Times in Hong Kong published an article by Lau Wai-hing, a member of the Hong Kong legislative council, entitled "Uphold Press Freedom, Protect Hong Kong's Reputation." The article states, "Last month, I went to Sweden to receive the Monismanien Human Rights Award. This award came at a proper time because many Hong Kong people are fighting against the forced enactment of Article 23 by Mr. Tung Chee-hwa, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The National Security (Legislative Provisions) Bill is currently being discussed at the legislative council. We are facing the risk of writing destructive things into law. The possible consequences are worrisome."

Downloading Fluxay software may expose your own information, the May 28 issue of Freedom Times reported. Recently, the Taiwan Education Department's Electronic Computer Center notified higher education institutions in Taiwan regarding Fluxay, a software provided by websites in Mainland China. The Center pointed out the software is suspected of having backdoor processors; when people use this software to monitor others' computers, the information in their own computers may be secretly transferred to China or websites in foreign countries.

SARS: Today, the World Health Assembly passed a resolution on Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, requesting the head secretary of the World Health Organization (WHO) to respond to "all" requests that ask for assistance. The US and Japan spoke at the meeting and said they welcome the content of the resolution, and re-emphasized that no country should be excluded in the effort to prevent SARS. Because Taiwan has the third highest SARS toll in the world, representatives fell into a dilemma regarding the treatment of Taiwan regarding SARS. Sha Zukang, the representative from China shouted at the meeting and said it's important for the WHO to fight SARS, but it is not as important as [Chinese] sovereignty and integrity of territory. It fully reveals the Party is hysterically suppressing Taiwan in the international community.
