Facts of the Persecution

Recently, officials from the "610 Office"* in Dalian City and Fushun City, Liaoning Province have been frantically arresting Falun Dafa practitioners in urban and countryside areas. They send the practitioners to a hotel in the Heishijiao region of Dalian City for forced-brainwashing. The villainous officials harass Falun Dafa practitioners 24 hours a day, force Dafa practitioners to pay a exorbitant fees, and send the practitioners to labor camp if they refuse to give up their faith. They trick Falun Dafa practitioners into writing "Guarantee Statements,"** and storm into Dafa practitioners' residences. They have abducted, beaten, and stolen from Falun Dafa practitioners. Several Falun Dafa practitioners had to become homeless to avoid illegal arrested from their homes. Two Falun Dafa practitioners were abducted on July 14 and July 15.

The following is an excerpt from the article "An Enlightenment on Validating the Fa Inspires Me to Mind Minor Details"

Based on narrow understandings, I used to place a lot of emphasis on validating the Fa, but was careless when dealing with the little conflicts around me, especially the conflicts with my family members. I used to display a lot of my demon nature. I experienced a long period of tribulation, and it was very difficult for me to look inward. Through studying the Fa and sharing with fellow practitioners, the severe blockage on my cultivation path has been removed, and my mind has suddenly opened. Little things also manifest in one's xinxing standard. I understand that if others punch us, or say we are not good or treat us badly, we should not hit back, or feel discontentment or hatred, and we should not find excuses for ourselves. If we do things righteously measured with the standards of a cultivator, we are validating Dafa. Benevolently resolving conflicts with fellow practitioners, friends, and family members is also validating Dafa.

The Truth and People's Hearts

Mr. Wang is a little over 60 years old, and comes to the restaurant I work at every day to pass the time. We have become good friends. Mr. Wang very much admires our Master. On July 20, 2003, I went to a Chinese Embassy to appeal peacefully, then went to Chinatown to parade and clarify the truth. Upon returning to work, Mr. Wang was worried about my safety. I told him that we are never afraid. Mr. Wang was so happy, "Yes, they fear Falun Gong the most, they even don't dare to accept Falun Gong's letters. I want to join your activities when the chance comes! I want to raise my voice against Jiang's injustice! ...They had no good reason; they had no good reason at all!"

Media Reports

RFA (Radio Free Asia) reported that Falun Dafa practitioners in middle and northern Germany gathered on July 20 (4^th anniversary) in Berlin, in order call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong. The Chairman of the International Human Rights Association gave a speech at the rally, which supported the lawsuit against Jiang for crimes against humanity.

*610 Office is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.

**"Guarantee Statement is a statement to declare that he or she is remorseful for practicing Falun Gong and guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never again associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners.
