1. [Qinduankou, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Hong Weisheng Tortured to Disability at Qinduankou Jail
Mr. Hong Weisheng was tortured at Qinduankou Jail and suffered greatly both physically and mentally. In the winter, police officers poured water over him until the water froze into ice. He was not allowed to sleep for a long time and was forced to do heavy labor. Recently five of Hong's ribs were broken during the torture. His arm was broken in three places. Police officers at the Qinduankou Jail tightly control any leaking of the information. Practitioners, please send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil persecution.

One day farmers were delivering tax grain to the government. One Dafa practitioner delivered her grain on time. The police chief that once arrested that Dafa practitioner happened to be supervising the grain delivery process. After closely watching the Dafa practitioner's behavior, the police chief said to the people who had gathered there, "You see, Falun Gong practitioners are very good; their wheat is both good quality and full weight."
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Longshan Forced Labor Camp Extends Dafa Practitioner Dong Mei's Overdue Two-year Term
Ms. Dong Mei is 33 years old. She was arrested in July 2001 while delivering Dafa truth-clarifying materials to the Northeast University in Shenyang City. Her two-year sentence ended on July 8, 2003 but she is still detained in Longshan Forced Labor Camp.
On July 3, 2003, Dong Mei's mother called the First Brigade at Longshan Forced Labor Camp. The Brigade head Yang Min said, "Dong is not 'reformed' and will not be released." Later it was learned that Dong Mei's term was extended for another three months. Police officers also claimed that they might send Dong Mei to Dabei Jail.
Fellow Dafa practitioners, please send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors that are persecuting Dong Mei, to help her return to the Fa-rectification process as soon as possible.

On July 19, 2003, police officer Wang Yejun from the Political and Security Section of the Public Security Bureau, with Zhang - the Head of the Xiangyang Police Station, illegally searched Ms. Yu's home. They confiscated one copier, one fax machine, and some blank CDs and ink cartridges among other items. Yu Shuxin has been forced to leave home.

Qiu Sheguo was illegally detained at the Feixiang Detention Center because he openly clarified the truth of Dafa to people. In recent days, he was transferred to the Yongnian Detention Center. This is the fourth time he has been detained.

6. [Jinzhou, Liaoning Province] Two Dafa Practitioners Escape with Righteous Thoughts
Recently, one Dafa practitioner escaped from the Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp. This is the second Dafa practitioner to escape. According to a source, the Jinzhou Public Security Bureau is checking residence cards on the pretext of searching for bank robbers. We encourage local Dafa practitioners to treat the issue with righteous thoughts, so as not to leave loopholes for the evil.
7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioner Hao Jianning Is Forced to Leave Home
Ms. Hao Jianning made some mistakes and cooperated with the evil persecutors after she was sent to forced labor camp. Since then she has woken up through Fa-study. Together with Ms. Fu Yafeng, they are determined to come back to the Dafa practice so as to be worthy of Teacher's compassion. The city "610 office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] tried to force Hao to "sign" and intended to abduct her. Unable to live a normal life due to the continual harassment, she had to leave home. Her husband has had a stroke but now Ms. Hao is unable to give him the constant care he needs.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xin was abducted and taken to Changli Brainwashing Center. The people responsible are her work unit, the Funing Railway Station and the city "610 Office." She was taken right before the 16th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party in 2002. She is still being held in the brainwashing center.
8. [Beijing] Wicked Officials in the Chinese Judicial Ministry Are Still Poisoning Peoples' Minds
On July 9, 2003 Journalist Du Zhongjie from the "People's Court Newspaper" reported that the first 24-part TV drama series "Life Has No Sins" will soon go on the air throughout China. The series was designed to slander Falun Gong. The report says, "Judicial Minister Zhang Fusen, Deputy Chief Secretary of the Central Political and Judiciary Committee and the Director of the Central Comprehensive Administrative Office Chen Yiping , Fan Fangping and Hu Zejun -- both Deputy Judicial Ministers have presented Video CDs of the series to communities, townships, schools and forced labor camps in Beijing." This TV series, which confuses right from wrong, will be more evidence of the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong, and should be supplied to the court and relevant organizations.
