Falun Dafa practitioners in Jixi, Mishan, and Hulin in Heilongjiang Province

Qi Chenggang is the head of the Fuyang "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems]. Ordered by his superiors at higher levels of "610 Offices," at the beginning of June, he led others to unlawfully arrest Falun Dafa practitioners and ransack their homes. Over seventy Falun Dafa practitioners have been placed under arrest.

After Qi Chenggang read Clearwisdom.net reports detailing his persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners, he yelled with anger, saying that one of his cohorts must have turned against him, as he could not figure out how his crimes could have otherwise been documented in such detail.

At the end of May this year, members of the Yingshang "610 Office" began arresting Falun Dafa practitioners in a large area; even those people who have written statements promising to quit practicing Falun Gong have been rounded up.

Cheng Daqun is a Falun Dafa practitioner who lives at the Huajiadi Residential District in Chaoyang District, Beijing. On June 16th, Cheng was arrested at home. Cheng's home was ransacked. Further details are not yet known.

Any time now, Chinese Central Television is planning to show a drama defaming Falun Dafa under the title "Life Is Not Guilty." Some of the footage was shot in the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp. Besides professional actresses, drug addicts have been exclusively called in to act as Falun Gong practitioners. Some of the prison scenes were shot in the dormitories for drug addicts under rehabilitation.

Falun Dafa practitioner Li Yuandong is an underage girl. In March 2001, she was held in the No. 2 Regiment of the Beijing Dispatch Division for Persons under Forced Labor "Education." Ms. Li shouted "Falun Dafa is good" in the hallway, and six or seven police officers and drug users under rehabilitation jumped on her and held her to the ground for a beating. Later she was dragged into an office for more abuse. Ms. Li refused to give in and was locked in a room where all the windows were covered. She was tied to a bed with her arms and legs stretched out, and her face was covered with transparent tape. She suffered inhumane torture while only her nostrils were spared from the taping.

Police officers who participated in the torture include Wang Yuling, Cheng Yuanzheng, and others. Drug addicts under rehabilitation who were engaged in the persecution include Li Ying, Li Hong, and others.

Falun Dafa practitioner Cheng Peiming, his wife, Cheng Wenying and Cheng Wenting (Mr. Cheng's sisters), and his parents have all suffered from persecution by Jiang's regime.

In May 2001, Cheng Peiming was unlawfully arrested by the Jixi police for holding a Fa-conference. He was initially held in the Jixi No. 1 Detention Center. Later he was unlawfully sentenced to prison and held in the Hada Prison in Jixi City. He remains under persecution in prison.

In July, Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Cheng Wenying, Mr. Zhao Shudan, Zhao Shufeng (Mr. Zhao's sister), and Ms. Zhang Fengrong were unlawfully arrested for producing Falun Gong materials. They were held in the Jixi No. 1 Detention Center for persecution. Later, they each received prison terms.

List of the officials responsible for the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners:

(1) The Hengshan District Division of the Jixi City Police Department in Heilongjiang Province: Jin Wanhua, Wang Yaning, and Zhao Zhenhua (Deputy Director of the Police Department).

(2) The Xiaohengshan Mine in Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province:

Sun Quanxin (head of the Dongshan Police Station in Xiaohengshan Mine).
Zhang Bingzhong (Police Officer at the Dongshan Police Station in Xiaohengshan Mine).
Song Qingshan (Police Officer at the Xiaohengshan Mine Police Station).
Gao Wenliang (Chief of the Security Section of the Xiaohengshan Mine).
Che Yongnian (Party Secretary of the Erdaohe Subsidiary Mine).

(3) The Jixi City Forced Labor Camp:

Fan Guoyu (Brigade Head, who is primarily responsible for the persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners).
Zhang Guohua (guard).
Qi Min (guard).

On June 18, 2003, Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Bo Yuqin, Ms. Yan Yuxiang, and Mr. Sun Shijie were unlawfully arrested by deceptive police officers. In the early evening of June 18th, police officers arrived at Mr. Sun's home and lied to him, saying that they had something to ask him about, and then took him away. Currently Mr. Sun is being held in the Fusong County Detention Center.

In mid-April, Ms. Zhu Binglin was walking down stairs outside her home when several people showed up suddenly in an attempt to arrest her. Ms. Zhu yelled in a loud voice, "Do you have a warrant or not?" The people shouted wildly, "Who needs a warrant? Take her away now!" Later Ms. Zhu's husband, Zheng Guanrong, was followed and caught by staff from his work unit. He too was unlawfully arrested and thrown into a detention center. It has been reported that both of them are currently held in either the Xinjin Detention Center or a brainwashing facility.

Police officers at the Xinjiangkou Police Station frequently receive bonuses. When asked where they get the funding, the officers revealed that it comes from the fines extorted from Falun Gong practitioners. These officers often place Falun Dafa practitioners in custody and make up all kinds of excuses in order to collect fines.

Ms. Fu Yingxia is a 37-year-old self-employed merchant. She lives in Zhuanshan Village of Daqinjia Town, Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province. The Daqinjia Town Police Station and the Zhaoyuan City "610 Office" were looking for her after she was seen clarifying the facts about Falun Gong to the public on March 8, 2002. She was forced to leave her home and move from place to place. On June 15, 2003, she was unlawfully arrested by the Zhaoyuan City "610 Office." It has been reported that the police officers subjected her to various sorts of torture in order to extract from her the location of the site where Falun Gong materials were kept. The police officers pushed bamboo slivers into her fingernails and subjected her to electric shocks. She refused to give in to the evil demands and was tortured to the verge of death. She remains in custody, and her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Fu Yingxia's husband, Wang Yanqing, was arrested by the police for distributing Falun Gong materials in September of 2002. He was also inhumanely tortured. Afterwards, he was sentenced to seven years in prison. Ms. Fu's mother-in-law is over 70 years old and is now living unattended with Ms. Fu's 6-year-old son and an orphaned 12-year-old nephew.

Ms. Zhang Liangui, 36, is from Manzhuang Town in Daiyue District of Tai'an City, Shandong Province. Ms. Zhang was unlawfully sent to the No. 1 Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province for going to Beijing to file an appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. She was then unlawfully sentenced to one year of forced labor. After being released in the second half of 2001, she came back to the righteous path of Fa-rectification. In September 2002, her husband, Qin Zhenquan, was unlawfully arrested by the Daiyue Police Department in Tai'an City for telling others the facts about Falun Gong. Mr. Qin was unlawfully sentenced to three years of forced labor and sent to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Zhang Liangui was not intimidated by what happened to her husband and continued to clarify the truth to the public. Recently she was abducted by night patrol personnel while distributing materials documenting the facts about Falun Gong in Beijipo Town. She was taken to the Tai'an Police Department. Two policewomen searched her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials. It is not known where Ms. Zhang Liangui is being held. Her mother-in-law, who is 80 years old, is left at home unattended with her 12-year-old son.

Here we also remind fellow practitioners to pay attention to the evil forces that are searching for and persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners under the excuse of investigating SARS infections.

The Tai'an No. 2 Middle School started applying pressure on Falun Gong practitioners on April 25, 1999. After July 20, 1999, leaders of the school closely followed Jiang's regime in defaming Falun Dafa, stirring hatred against Falun Gong practitioners, and poisoning teachers and students. The entire school has been mobilized to monitor, follow, and restrict the speech and activities of Falun Dafa practitioners. Besides pressuring family members of Falun Gong practitioners to cooperate in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, school leaders also assist the "610 Office" and the police department in unlawfully arresting, detaining, brainwashing, and detaining Falun Dafa practitioners in forced labor camps. Falun Dafa practitioners have also been assigned extra work loads (under normal conditions a teacher teaches one or two classes, while Falun Dafa practitioners have been assigned three classes). Or at the other extreme, Falun Dafa practitioners have not been assigned any teaching work (even if not enough teachers are around), but are ordered to clean instead. In this way, practitioners have been deprived of their salaries and other benefits. Some practitioners have not received a penny of income for over forty months, suffering from the so-called "economical cutoff." When sensitive dates approach, Falun Dafa practitioners are further harassed by being called in for a talk or being coerced to write statements giving up their beliefs.

Zhang Chaoying is a 41-year-old man who was recently appointed bureau chief of the Liaoning Province Forced Labor Rehabilitation Bureau last month. Zhang was formerly the President and Party Secretary of the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, and a representative at the People's Congress in Yuhong District. During the evil campaign against Falun Gong, Zhang closely followed Jiang's regime in persecuting Falun Dafa and Falun Gong practitioners. Often, when a Falun Dafa practitioner's term up, and both the team leader and brigade head had signed the release form, when the form reached the headquarters of the forced labor camp, the practitioner's term would be unlawfully extended. The reasons were, firstly, the practitioner had not yet given up their belief in Falun Gong; and secondly, the practitioner had filed appeals to higher authorities to present the facts about Falun Gong.

Zhang has now taken the office of bureau chief. All the Falun Dafa practitioners sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp are sentenced by this bureau, which issues the "sentencing papers." We recommend Falun Dafa practitioners across the province send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors in other dimensions that stand behind Zhang.

The approach taken by members of the Wuhan City "610 Office" is that once they have determined which Falun Dafa practitioner to arrest, they will send out several people to have a chat with the practitioner in order to gather more information. The purpose is to first find out if the practitioner is at home, and then to diffuse any of the practitioners' suspicions. Police officers will then be called in to unlawfully take the practitioner away. We hope Falun Dafa practitioners will see through this trick and eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts.

Ms. Zhu Yuhong, 27, was formerly a teacher at the Jiafu School in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. She taught Chinese there after graduating from an art institute. Her 32-year-old husband, Shi Huiwen, graduated from the graduate school of the South China Polytechnic University. Ms. Zhu and Mr. Shi were unlawfully taken to the Tianhe Detention Center at the end of November 2000 and in December 2000 respectively. The Tianhe Detention Center is where Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Gao Xianmin died from being force-fed highly concentrated saltwater. Mr. Shi Wenhui was unlawfully sentenced to four years of forced labor in January 2003 and has been sent to the Shaoguan Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Zhu and several other practitioners practiced Falun Gong exercises on the eve of the Chinese lunar New Year's Day in 2002. Zhu Wenyong, head of the detention center, and a guard named Zheng forcibly locked Ms. Zhu in an isolated cell. The detention center police then ordered inmates to viciously beat her. When Ms. Zhu learned that she was unlawfully sentenced to thirteen years in prison for her belief in Falun Dafa, she broke out of the cell and went to the administration office to present her opinion. She was charged with the fabricated crime of trying to escape, and was punished by being shackled to the ground. She was tied to the floor and could not eat, sleep, or go to the restroom on her own. What has been described are just a few abuses that she has endured.
