Facts of the Persecution

Falun Dafa practitioners are being brainwashed and tortured with cruel methods in the Heilongjiang Provincial Women Labor Camp. The brutal methods include being shocked with electric batons all over the body, being forced to squat down for long periods of time, being locked in a dark cell, being grabbed by the hair and having one's head flung against the wall, being deprived of the right to sleep, being put in an isolated cell, being forced to watch programs that are full of lies, being watched by "Personal cangues" ["cangue," the name of an instrument of torture, is now used to indicate the person who is designated to supervise the practitioner], and being suspended in the air by handcuffs.

Recently, Falun Dafa practitioners detained in the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province are being tortured more severely. Their family members were charged 300 Yuan* on July 5, the visiting day, for them to visit the detained Dafa practitioners. The labor camp director and team leaders often curse at and insult Falun Dafa and Dafa disciples. Police and prisoners often beat up and curse at Dafa disciples. Also, the practitioners are not given enough food or water.

*Yuan is the Chinese currency. The average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is 500 Yuan.

The Truth and People's Hearts

The following is an excerpt from the article "Obtaining Health through Cultivating Falun Dafa."

I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who lives in the countryside. I had many diseases since I was little. I had angina pectoris when I was only 3 years old. Later I had pleurisy, and it developed into serious liver disease later. I also had a habit of dislocating my shoulder, and had to readjust my shoulders several times a year. I was lucky enough to obtain the Fa in 1995. Only a few days after I started to practice, my shoulder dislocated again. I thought in my mind, "Master, please help me!" Then I used the other hand to pull the dislocated arm, and did the first move in the first exercise, "Maitreya Stretching His Back." I heard a loud noise, and the shoulder was fixed. I have never dislocated since then. In a short period of time, I found that my body became very light. I never took a single pill in these eight years, and I have been full of energy. My mother had more than ten ailments before practicing Falun Dafa. She had glaucoma and cataracts, and could not see. After cultivating Dafa, she does not need glasses and has quit smoking, which she had done for more than fifty years. The people around us have been thoroughly amazed.

A government-registered, Monday-through-Friday Nursery School that operates within the Taiwan Minghui School was established. Nursery School Director Lu started spreading Dafa soon after obtaining the Fa herself. We have experienced the power of Dafa through these children. Most parents of these children are not Falun Dafa practitioners. Through watching their children change, they have gained positive attitudes toward Dafa. These children study the Fa first thing upon arriving at school. Big kids help arrange the tables and make beds around noon, and then wait to do the exercises.

Epoch Times reported that after the Chen Wenying double agent incident, another Communist-tied Chinese American Luo Wenzheng in Los Angles is in trouble. On July 24, Luo's "Los Angles International Trade Company" was searched by the California Tax Bureau because of involvement in violating the Commercial Taxation Law and Tobacco Products Regulations. Luo Wenzheng has organized many meetings with overseas Chinese people for the purpose of criticizing Falun Gong. He spreads a lot of lies and slander against Falun Dafa among Chinese Americans. Many Communist Chinese American leaders have gotten in trouble lately. Liang Guanjun in New York was arrested and charged with third degree assault for beating up Falun Gong practitioners.
