In September 2001, Shijiazhuang City Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Chengbiao was forced to leave home to avoid being persecuted for his belief in Falun Gong. The "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] issued a large reward for his arrest. During the last two years, the "610 Office" closely monitored Mr. Wang's family members and even detained his relatives who were not practitioners. In August 2002, Mr. Wang's wife, Ms. Lian Linhong was kidnapped and taken to the Capital Brainwashing Center in Hebei Province. At the end of July 2003, Mr. Wang was arrested and held by Shijiazhuang City "610 Office." His current situation is unknown.

The Chief of Suining City Public Security Bureau in Sichuan Province, Mr. Liu Anyuan crazily and irrationally persecuted Dafa practitioners. Under his order, four Suining City practitioners were tortured to death, many practitioners were beaten to physical and mental disability, over one hundred practitioners were sent to forced labor camps and jails, several hundreds of practitioners were abducted and detained. Many practitioners were unjustly subjected to several illegal home searches, interrogation by torture, and had their money extorted (totaling tens of thousands of Yuan). Presently, there are still many practitioners being detained at the Lingquansi, Wujiawan Drug Rehabilitation Detention Center. In September 2003, there was an attempt to open another brainwashing center.

Story from China: The People Who Know the Truth of Falun Gong

One day, I met an old neighbor who I hadn't seen for many years. The neighbor said, "Several days ago, somebody put a VCD (truth clarification material) in front of my home. My sister picked it up. After she watched it, she insisted on me watching it too. After I watched it, I realized that the í Tiananmen Self-Immolation' incident was a fabricated incident staged by Jiang Zemin (leader of the Chinese military) and his corrupt regime to frame Falun Gong. The woman who supposedly lit herself on fire was actually beaten to death. They are so cruel. I already told my son, daughter, relatives and friends to not believe the lies on TV."

One morning, a retired worker from my workplace eagerly greeted me from a distance; "I found a booklet on my window yesterday. After I read it, I knew that Falun Gong is unjustly persecuted. What's said on TV are all lies." He came over and tightly held my hand, "Falun Gong must have its reputation restored. All the people who know the truth are supporting you guys. Please take good care yourself."

A manager was having lunch with his friends, and one of the friends was a policeman. When people talked about Falun Gong, the policeman said, "If I see them, I must arrest them [practitioners]!" The manager said, "How could you do such an immoral thing? For god's sake don't do it!" Several months later, the manager had a car accident. The car was totally destroyed, but his son and he were safe and sound. Everyone said it was a miracle that he survived.

The Henan Province "610 Office" sent a surveillance team to Zhoukou City. The team has been in Huaiyang County for a very long time. The team is responsible for monitoring the persecution of practitioners in all governmental levels in Zhoukou City. Recently, the persecution of Falun Gong in all townships and counties in Zhoukou City was intensified. We call for all Zhoukou City practitioners to actively do the three things well, take the initiative to eliminate the evil forces, and firmly deny any arrangements of the old forces.
