1. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Falun Dafa Practitioners from Luobei County Arrested
On September 27, 2004, banners reading, "Falun Dafa is Great" were hanging all over the place in Luobei County. The next day, rampant arrests began. To date, several Falun Dafa practitioners including Mr. Yu Zhimin, Ms. Cheng Ling, Ms. Xu Guizhen, Mr. Shen Lijiang and Ms. Li Chunying have been arrested.
2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Huang Wei on Hunger Strike for Over 40 Days
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Huang Wei has been staging a hunger strike since August 28, 2004 to protest the illegal forced labor. To date it has lasted over 40 days. His life is in danger now. His family members are not allowed to visit him.
Both Huang Wei's parents are in their 70's. He is the youngest child and has two older brothers and one older sister. Huang Wei said he had been illegally detained at the No.2 Division, Shijiazhuang City's Forced Labor Camp for three years, and he is staging a hunger strike to protest the persecution and demand his personal freedom.

3. [Jiaonan City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Xu Bingxin Taken to a Brainwashing Center in Qingdao City's "610 Office"
On September 23, 2004, personnel from Yinzhu Town's Police Station arrested practitioner Xu Bingxin from Yinzhu Town while he was working in Haiqing Town and later sent him to a brainwashing center in Qingdao City's "610 Office." Their excuse is that they have a quota to fill. Someone reported Xu Bingxin to the police last year but they didn't arrest him, however, this year they have a quota to fulfill so they remembered the incident from last year. Rumor has it that the brainwashing center authorities gave quotas to all police stations to arrest practitioners.
4. [Beijing] Torture Facts of Practitioners in Beijing's Women Forced Labor Camp
In 2003 a "Storm Fortification Team" specializing in torture of the steadfast practitioners was set up in Beijing's Women Forced Labor Camp. Its head is Xu Kaixuan from the Education Section, Beijing Forced Labor Bureau, and the deputy head is Li, deputy team leader from the Assemble Training Team. They escalated torture methods of the practitioners who have refused to renounce Falun Gong. They deliberately chose some tough drug addicts in the camp to watch practitioners. In order to get a large bonus, police used all possible methods. Even the drug addicts who monitor practitioners get a 50-yuan bonus once they force a practitioner to give up her belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance." Practitioner Ms. Ren Guoxian with a master's degree from Beijing is still being held in the "Storm Fortification" Team.

5. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Wang Qingmei Sent to Sanshui City's Brainwashing Center for Refusing to Renounce Falun Gong
At noon on September 6, 2004, personnel from the Street Administrative Committee deceived practitioner Ms. Wang Qingmei (who lived on Changgang Street, Haizhu District) into coming to their office under the guise of "filling out a birth control form" and then arrested her. We have heard that the personnel from the district and the street administrative committee tried to force Wang Qingmei to write a so-called "Guarantee Statement." Wang Qingmei firmly refused and was later sent to Sanshui City's Brainwashing Center.
6. [Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province] Several Elderly Practitioners Detained
In April 2004, practitioner Ms. Wen Xing, 65 years old, from Qingcheng District, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province and another practitioner in her/his 60s were arrested when they were clarifying the truth to the public in Longtang Town.
On September 15, 2004, someone reported practitioner Ms. He Chunying, 62 years old, when she was clarifying the truth in Longtang Town. Policemen from the local police station and the "610 Office" arrested her and ransacked her home. He Chunying was sentenced to one year of imprisonment. At present, she is being detained at Qingxin County's Detention Center.
7. [Yidu City, Hubei Province] 63-Year-Old Practitioner Zheng Jumei Sentenced to Prison
Practitioner Ms. Zheng Jumei, 63 years old, from Yidu City, Hubei Province, was sentenced to three years of imprisonment at Baofeng Road Women's Prison in Wuhan City, Hubei Province.

8. [Beijing] Practitioner Sun Deli, Gong Bohua and Wang Shugui Arrested
At 9:30a.m.on September 28, 2004 (Moon Festival Day), local security personnel arrested Mr. Sun Deli and Ms. Wang Shuggui. Their whereabouts are unknown.
Mr. Sun Deli, 45 years old, was arrested on July 20, 1999 and detained for 15 days for practicing Falun Gong. In March of 2000, he was detained for 27 days. In July 2000, he was put into a forced labor camp for a year. In January 2002, he was sentenced to two years of forced labor and suffered all kinds of torture. On February 1, 2004, he was released. He then rented a 1.5-acre vegetable farm, however, when the vegetables were ready for harvest, he was arrested again.
On September 30, 2004, practitioner Gong Bohua was arrested from home.

9. [Beijing] Practitioner Li Qiang and Fang Jinzhi Arrested
On October 3, the police found Dafa materials and pamphlets on practitioner Mr. Li Qiang and Ms. Fang Jinzhi who came from Xuecheng District, Zaozhuang City, Shangdong Province. The police arrested the practitioners. Because the police found the practitioners' personal identification cards, they notified the local police to pick the practitioners up. Li and Fang are detained at local detention center.
10. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Zhang Yuqing Arrested
On October 1, 2004, Ms. Zhang Yuqing, 50 years old, from Keshanling, Baiyun District, Guangzhou City, was arrested. Her whereabouts are unknown. Her family is worried about her, and her son became ill due to anxiety.
11. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Qiao Guangqing Arrested
Practitioner Qiao Guangqing from Huadu District of Guangzhou City was arrested after he was reported to the police when clarifying the truth. He is currently detained at Furong Town's Detention Center.
12. [Guizhou Province] Practitioner He Shiwei Arrested for Distributing Truth- Clarifying Materials
Several security personnel reported practitioner Mr. He Shiwei, a retired teacher from the Cement Factory in Guizhou Province, when he distributed truth-clarifying materials at Ganyintang Juhuadong on October 2, 2004. Personnel from the Ganyintang Police Precinct arrested him, ransacked his house and unlawfully put him into the Nanming District's Detention Center.
13. [Xishui City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Yang Aizhi and Nan Minjun Arrested
On September 31, 2004, practitioners Yang Aizhi and Nan Minjun from Xishui City, Hubei Province went to Bahe Town to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. When they were clarifying the truth to people on the bus on their way back, plainclothes officers from the Bahe Town's Police Precinct arrested and put them into the Chengguan Police Precinct in Xishui City. Currently they are both being held in the city's No.2 Detention Center.
14. [Beijing] Practitioner Zhang Yongqiang Arrested
On September 28, 2004, practitioner Mr. Zhang Yongqiang from the Dongcheng District in Beijing was unlawfully arrested when he was meeting with some other practitioners. Currently he is being held in Chaoyang District's Detention Center.
Zhang Yongqiang had already been arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labor at the end of September 1999.
15. [Beijing] Details of the Persecution of Practitioners Li Jin and Mu Yuanru
Ms. Li Jin obtained the Fa in 1997 and lives in the Wangjing Residential area. After someone reported her to the police in March 2002, local police took her away from her home at night and confiscated some Dafa books. She was released a week later. Some related departments from her work unit forced her to write a self-criticism and to defame Falun Dafa's founder, but she refused. Consequently, she was fired from her job. In 2002, right before the opening of the 16th Chinese Communist Party National Committee, she was arrested at home again. Her mother, also a practitioner, was arrested, too. Her computer was confiscated. Her little daughter was left at home and her aged father had to take care of her. Li Jin and her mother have been detained to this day. Further details are unknown.
Practitioner Ms. Mu Yuanru lives in the Anzhenli Residential area. She used to be a teacher for the Administrative Management Institute of the Aviation Bureau and has attended Master Li's lecture seminar. In October 1999, her Party membership was cancelled and she was fired because of her legal appeal to the government for Falun Gong. In 2002, before the 16th Chinese Communist Party National Committee, police arrested her from her home at night. Her whereabouts are unknown.
16. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Incarceration of Practitioners Huang Yanzhen and Guo Fenglan
On October 8, 2004, personnel from Wujia Town's Police Precinct, including Ma Chenglong, arrested practitioners Ms. Huang Yanzhen and Ms. Guo Fenglan from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province at the Wujia Town Railway Station. Both practitioners were sent to the city's No.2 Detention Center.
17. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Practitioners Liu Zhenduo and Lu Meifang Harassed and Arrested by "610 Office" Personnel
On July 20, 2004, local villagers reported practitioners Mr. Liu Zhenduo and Ms. Lu Meifang to the police. Several policemen broke into the practitioners' home in Banjia Village, Guojiadian Town. Police ransacked their home without producing any legal warrants. They confiscated three Zhuan Falun books, some of Master Li's new articles and a tape recorder. They took Liu Zhenduo and Lu Meifang to Guojiadian Town's Police Precinct and then transferred them to Laizhou City's Detention Center. They interrogated practitioners in an attempt to extort a confession and forced them to stand or squat for a long time. In the end, the two practitioners were detained for 30 days and 15 days, respectively. They were also forced to pay 25 Yuan per day for accommodation expenses. Liu Zhenduo's daughter was forced to hand in ten thousand yuan for Liu's release.
On September 15, personnel from Guojiadian Town's Police Precinct colluded with Laizhou City's "610 Office" police and broke into the homes of Liu Zhenduo and Lu Meifang. Without any legal warrant, they ransacked their house again, but found nothing. They arrested the two practitioners again and put them into a brainwashing center at Dianzi for over two weeks. Five more practitioners were arrested around the same time.
18. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Chen Yinhua Stages a Hunger Strike at a Brainwashing Center
Practitioner Ms. Chen Yinhua from Nanjing City has been on a hunger strike for 60 days to protest the persecution after being captured and taken to the city's brainwashing center. Although her life is now in danger, lawless policemen plan to send her to a forced labor camp. It was reported that Nanjing City's Brainwashing Center is located at the Bole Hotel of Nanjing City's Xinlian Machinery Factory, also known as the Bole Refrigerator Factory. Several other practitioners are also being detained there.

19. [Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Li Qiliang Suffers Severe Head Injury from Brutal Beating
Practitioner Mr. Li Qiliang lives in the Dong'an District, Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. He was illegally detained at a forced labor camp for a long time. Later he was sent to Jianshanzi Prison. While in prison, he sustained a severe head bone fracture and a brain injury, which made him disoriented and mentally traumatized. Not until his life was in danger did the prison release him back home.
For believing in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, a healthy man was tortured to the point of mental collapse. After he left the vicious environment, he gradually recovered.
20. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Current Situation of Incarcerated Practitioners Tian Ronghe and Sun Yufeng
On the afternoon of July 4, 2004, personnel from the Jinxiang Street Police Precinct in the Dongli District, Harbin City arrested practitioners Tian Ronghe and Mr. Sun Yufeng. Mr. Sun Yufeng went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal arrest. Later he fell ill with many disease symptoms and was extremely weak due to the hunger strike. On September 29, his family was allowed to bail him out.
After being detained at the Dongli District Detention Center for over a month, Tian Ronghe was transferred to Harbin City's Railway Detention Center. Tian Ronghe was recently sentenced to imprisonment. It is unknown at which prison Tian Ronghe is detained.
21. [Fusong County, Jilin Province]The Brutal Torture of Practitioner Wang Zhiping
Wang Shouliang, an officer of the Political and Security Section in Fusong County's Quanyang Forestry Bureau Police Department, Baishan City, Jilin Province, illegally arrested several practitioners. At 10:00 a.m. on July 13, 2004, he led many policemen and broke into practitioner Ms. Wang Zhiping's home. They handcuffed her and took away all of her Falun Dafa materials. Wang refused tried to resist the illegal arrest, but the policemen forcibly threw her into a police car and sent her directly to Fusong County's Detention Center.
In the detention center, Wang Zhiping suffered savage torture, which caused the onset of a serious heart disease. In order to shirk the responsibility, the detention center authorities told the police department to fetch her. The policemen took her back to the Quanyang Forestry Bureau Detention Center and continued to inhumanely torture her. The lawless officers even reported to their superior and had her sentenced to three years of imprisonment. Wang Zhiping's life is currently in grave danger, but the police still refuse to release her.
