Facts of the Persecution

1. The crimes of Guo Libing from Xiadian Town in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province

Guo Libing, over 30 years old, is the Party Secretary of Jincheng Village in Xiadian Town. On January 20, 2004, Guo Libing and his cousin Guo Jianquan met practitioner Liu Shuwen on the street. They used the excuse that Mr. Liu practices Falun Gong to beat and kick the elderly man to the ground and steal 1,005 yuan from his pocket. On August 26, 2004, Guo Libing saw Liu Shuwen again. This time he falsely accused Mr. Liu of stealing money and beat him up in the street. On the morning of August 31, as Mr. Liu Shuwen was walking to his home with water, Guo Libing beat up Mr. Liu for the third time.

2. The persecution of a 60-year-old man and his son from Qidong County in Hunan Province

My name is Deng Chengbin. I was born in August 1944 and am an employee in the Cigarette Factory of Qidong County. My son Deng Chaogang, born in 1976, is a Falun Gong practitioner. My son used to work in the Cigarette Factory, but he was laid off and later worked in the Changsha Branch of China Liantong Ltd. On the morning of August 23, 2003, my son was taken away on his way to work. After his illegal arrest by the Tianxin District Police Department, the police went to my son's home to confiscate his property. During the interrogation, my son wasn't allowed to sleep. The police divided into three shifts and took turns torturing him. This continued for several days. On August 23, 2003, I was also detained for one day by the Tianxin District Police Department.

3. The persecution of two brothers and their wives from Jiuchi Township, Wanzhou District, Chongqing City

Mr. Pan Qiuliang and Mr. Pan Yufa are brothers from Jiuchi Township in the Wanzhou District of Chongqing City. Their wives are Wu Mingxiu and Mu Weijun respectively. The two families have been illegally detained three times because they practice Falun Gong. In 2002, Mr. Pan Yufa erased some words on a blackboard that defamed Falun Gong and was reported for doing this. He was then illegally held in a detention center for over two months. In July 2003, many Falun Dafa signs and truth-clarifying materials appeared within 30 kilometers, from Jiuchi Township to Zhushan. The local Jiuchi government suspected that these were distributed by Pan Qiuliang, Wu Mingxiu, Pan Yufa and Mu Weijun, and so they abducted the two couples. In the detention center they were beaten repeatedly and forced to burn under the hot sun. Mr. Pan Qiuliang lost several teeth and Ms. Wu Mingxiu was almost tortured to death. Without any evidence of the so-called crime, the police illegally sentenced Mr. Pan Qiuliang and Mr. Pan Yufa to one and a half years in a forced-labor camp. Ms. Wu Mingxiu and Ms. Mu Weijun were sent to a brainwashing class in the Wanzhou District for further persecution. Later, against their will, the two women signed statements renouncing Falun Gong and were released. The two brothers, Mr. Pan Qiuliang and Mr. Pan Yufa, are still in Xishanping Labor Camp in Chongqing City.

4. Exposing the crimes of Heizuizi Woman's Labor Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province

On September 23, 2004, labor camp officials discovered that practitioner Ms. Wu Guichun had written down Master Li's new articles. Policewoman Xi Guirong shocked Ms. Wu Guichun with electric batons in attempts to force her to reveal the source of the articles. Ms. Wu sent righteous thoughts to reject the persecution. Around noon on September 29, 2004, practitioner Wang Yan arrived at the labor camp for brainwashing. The police beat her severely in the afternoon and shocked her with electric batons, trying to force her to sign a statement to denounce Falun Gong. On October 11, 2004, a policewomen sealed Ms. Wang Yumei's mouth with sticky tape, tied her to a bed, and fiercely beat her with a wooden board and shocked her with electric batons. Then she sent Ms. Wang Yumei to be injected with unknown drugs. The No. 3 Team leader named Fu cursed Ms. Wang Yumei.
