In March 2004, the 610 Office abducted Ms. Cui again and this time sent her to the Urumqi Forced Brainwashing Center in Urumqi, Xinjiang Province. At first, the torturers feigned kindness in order to coax her into renouncing Falun Gong. Next, they subjected Ms. Cui to continuous cursing and beatings. Finally, Tu from Xinjiang Corps' 610 Office, a person from Kuerle named Yang, as well as police from the local Public Security Bureau, prisons, and forced labor camps, took Ms. Cui to an isolated room where they tortured her late into the night. They eventually gave up when they realized that nothing could force Ms. Cui Jiafang to renounce her belief in Falun Gong. A practitioner named Yang, from Kuerle, Xinjiang Province, was abducted to a forced brainwashing center in September 2003 and subjected to the same torture as above.
