(Clearwisdom.net) The parents of Ms. Deng Caijuan, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Foshan City, filed a lawsuit against the Sanshui Labor Camp in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, because of the brutal treatment of their daughter. They requested an investigation to find and punish the responsible offices and personnel.
Ms. Deng Caijuan, a 33-year old practitioner, is a courageous, caring, kindhearted and generous person. Late on the evening of April 8, 2004, Li Wenhui, a captain at the "610 Office" in Foshan City, Assistant Captain Zheng Biao, and over ten other policemen abducted Ms. Deng from her residence. They claimed that she had committed treason. At the same time, they also arrested another practitioner, Ms. Cai Caiying. Ms. Deng is detained in the Sanshui Labor Camp without visitation rights.
According to a report about police brutality in the Sanshui Labor Camp published by Minghui.org (the Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net), one of the guards, nicknamed "Big Mole," induced an imprisoned drug addict to punch and kick practitioner Ms. Han Zhimin until she was covered in bruises. They also forced urine down her throat. Then the guard urged the drug user to publicly tie up Ms. Deng Caijuan and to beat her, which resulted in cuts, wounds and bruises all over her body.
Our sources report that Ms. Deng was unlawfully sentenced to the labor camp in July 2000 because she persisted in practicing Falun Dafa. In November 2002, she was tormented continuously for over 20 days and nights. However, Ms. Deng continued to refuse to yield to the authorities' demands that she renounce Falun Dafa, which stunned her tormentors.
Ms. Zhou Xuefei, who was detained in the same labor camp, recalls that, "Ms. Deng was deprived of sleep for over 20 days. In November 2002, the camp illegally set up a torture room to interrogate the steadfast Falun Gong practitioners. They tortured practitioners without consideration for the consequences. In private, the drug rehabilitation officer who monitored Ms. Deng praised her strength of conviction. Some of the general education staff told me: 'Some tortures, which were impossible to bear for even half an hour, let alone a few days, for the rest of the prisoners, were commonly used on Falun Gong practitioners. After spending time with people like you, I also want to practice Falun Gong. You are truly very good people.' "
We hope that people around the world will show their concern for the abused practitioners who are illegally detained in Sanshui Labor Reform Camp.

Requests:
Severe punishment of the defendant for the illegal criminal acts against Ms. Deng Caijuan;
Order the defendant to abide by the law and allow family visitation rights;
Order the defendant to immediately cease the cruel, despicable and otherwise illegal criminal maneuvers.
Facts:
My daughter, Ms. Deng Caijuan, a resident of Foshan City was sentenced and sent to the Sanshui Labor Reform Camp in 2000 for persisting in her Falun Dafa practice. The defendant pressured my daughter to give up her beliefs in "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" and forced her to write a "Dissociation Statement," "Repentance Statement," and "Guarantee Statement." When she refused to do so, they took extraordinarily disgraceful and despicable measures. They induced two imprisoned drug addicts to strip her of all her clothes, to hang her from above with her hands tied behind the back and stuffed soiled tissue paper in her mouth. After she passed out several times, they poured cold water on her to wake her up. This treatment continued for over one week.
In addition to the torture described, the guards also beat her, deprived her of sleep, forced her to remain in fixed, painful positions for prolonged periods of time, shocked her with electric batons, denied her the right to visit the toilet, and so on.
Basis of the Lawsuit:
The defendant's disgraceful and despicable actions violate the following laws:
1. Crime of Humiliation
Constitution [Article 38]
The personal dignity of citizens of the People's Republic of China is inviolable. Insult, libel, false charge or frame-up directed against citizens by any means is prohibited.
Criminal Law of People's Republic of China [Article 246]

Those committing the crimes mentioned above are to be investigated only if they are sued, with the exception of cases that seriously undermine social order or the state's interests.
Law Safeguarding Women's Rights and Interests of the People's Republic of China [Article2]
Women enjoy the same rights as men in political, economic, cultural, social and family settings.
The state protects women's special rights and interests granted by the law to gradually perfect a social protection system for women.
Discriminating, abusing or injuring women is prohibited.
2. Crime of abusing inmates
Criminal Law of People's Republic of China [Article 248]
Supervisory and management personnel of prisons, detention centers, and other guard houses who beat or physically abuse their inmates, if the case is serious, are to be sentenced to maximally three years in prison or put under criminal detention. If the case is especially serious, they are to be sentenced to three to 10 years in prison.
Those causing injuries, physical disablement, or death, are to be convicted and severely punished according to article 234 and 232 of this law.
Supervisory and management personnel who order inmates to beat or physically abuse other inmates are to be punished according to stipulations in the above paragraph.
To sum up, the defendant seriously violated my daughter's legal rights and broke the law. Since my daughter is still locked up in the Sanshui Labor Reform Camp and our visitation rights were denied, we fear that they will intensify her abuse. We sincerely ask that the Procuratorate Court, the Administration of Justice, Labor Reeducation Office, Public Security Office, Public Security Agency, and all related Agencies to immediately investigate this matter and reprimand the defendants for their criminal action. Please inform us your conclusion of the investigation.
Regards.
