(Clearwisdom.net) On December 29, 2001, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Huaiqing, a retired teacher from Ningjin County, Shandong Province was abducted and taken to Ningjin County Detention Center. After his release, he was hospitalized for his poor health due to the torture suffered in the detention center. Even though he was in the hospital, local "610 Office"* officials often harassed him. After his release from the hospital, these lawless people made his recovery impossible by their continuous harassment. Mr. Li died in August of 2003. The following is his story:
Mr. Li Huaiqin was a 58-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner and a retired teacher from Ningjin County who had suffered the various effects of persecution after July 20, 1999. One time he was fined over 15,000 Yuan.**
On December 29, 2001, he was abducted and taken to Ningjin County Detention Center. Policemen and some criminals humiliated him and put him into long-term detention. Chief Yao of the detention center once forced him to kneel down to him. Li Huaiqing suffered sever mentally torment and physical torture.
His extremely poor health following his release made hospitalization necessary. But "610 Office" personnel still forced him to attend a brainwashing class, disregarding his severe health problems. His family had to produce the "critically ill" certificate from the hospital. Nonetheless, "610 Office" personnel did not give up their merciless pursuits. The head of the "610 Office" told Li's family to attend the brainwashing class on Li's behalf. Li's daughter, several months pregnant, had to reason with "610 Office" officials. But they took this opportunity to extort 400 Yuan from Li's family. After Li had returned home from his hospitalization, the "610 Office" enforcers kept on harass him and the family. Li could not recover. He passed away in August of 2003.
*"610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
