After the spring festival of 2003, the Dalian Detention Center Female Division gathered all determined Dafa practitioners into the second team, imposing strict rules and monitoring them. Later they secretly sent away one practitioner at a time every several days and attempted to brainwash them this way. On April 22, police officer Zhao Yang put us in solitary confinement, locking us individually in iron cages and forced us to stand there without sleep day and night. They forced us to eat large amounts of celery and bean sprouts and sign our names on the receipt. We had to finish twenty to thirty Jin (one pound = 0.9 Jin) of vegetables in one day.
In order to achieve their goal, police officers Han Jiangwen, Wan Yalin, Yuan Linyue and Tan X incited five or six criminals to hang practitioner Li Yumei up in the cage. They tied her four limbs up and forced hot water mixed with hot pepper spice into her vagina, anus and her mouth. After this torture, they forced her to stand for a long time without sleep. One time when Li Yumei requested to use the toilet, the warden did not allow her. Instead, they forced her urine and excrement into her mouth. Later I suffered the same torture. They hung me up and put the corner of the chair against my vagina and anus, then stepped on and rocked the chair. They then forcefully pulled a knotted rope back and forth around my vagina and anus. After they got tired, another two people would take their turn. In order to destroy the evidence, policewoman Xu Lili (in charge of the criminals) incited others to throw away the ruined pants and underwear stained with blood and pus.
Li Yumei and I had been deprived of sleep for nine days straight. Later we were only allowed to sleep for two or three hours a day. One time I asked the prisoner assigned to watch me: "Do you have parents, brothers and sisters? How do you feel when you see that they brutally torture practitioners?" She said: "Everyone is selfish. Although we know that practitioners are good people, we still have to do what they order us to do. Otherwise they will extend our term."
During the time when someone is visiting or inspecting, the police would close off the solitary confinement area, as they were afraid that their crimes would be exposed and practitioners would tell the truth. My term was illegally extended three months. Because I did not wear the name tag, they once again put me into solitary confinement for four days. Li Yumei's term ended on November 8th, but she is still detained there.
Practitioner Li Hong is from the Zhuanghe area. She was sent to the Dalian Detention Center in July of 2003. Because she refused to recite the "five rules in jail," they put her in solitary confinement and tortured her ruthlessly. After being hung up and tortured, she was forced to stand without sleep. Her feet were swollen and deformed and her buttocks were bruised. After she was released from solitary confinement, they sent her to the newly built criminal room and forced her to stand until 1:00 am every day. She had to work eleven hours during the day and make chopsticks, toothpicks, and diapers at night. One time she erected her hand to send forth righteous thought. As a result, she was once again sent to solitary confinement. They hung her up and smeared her urine and excrement on her face. Another time she resisted wearing the uniform and was again put in solitary confinement. She was handcuffed to the bed without sleeping. Li Hong is from a poor family. Other practitioners wanted to help her and send her some clothes and toothpaste. However, policewoman Xu Lili did not allow it.
Three practitioners, Sun Yan, Zhang Xiaoli, and Yang Chunhua, who were detained at the Dalian Detention Center Female Division, were transferred to the Longshan Detention Center. They also transferred three practitioners from Longshan to Dalian and sent them directly to solitary confinement and forced them to stand. Police did not allow them to wear a coat and sweater, only underwear. They were deprived of sleep day and night. One practitioner went on a hunger strike to protest. As a result, they force fed her with food and drugs. Now they are detained in the strictly monitored middle team.
Ms. Han Shuhua resisted being brainwashed and was sent to solitary confinement. We could hear police insulting her every day. They hung her up and tortured her. They burned her feet with boiling water. Her legs were crippled as a result of the torture. She was detained in solitary confinement for five months. One month is the extended term.
