On February 13, 2004, while Ms. Huang Meiying was distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Wushang Superstore, Xianning City, she was caught on film by a surveillance camera and reported to police. She was later taken to the Mao'ershan Detention Center. Huang Meiying is staging a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention.

On February 9, 2004, persons named Zhou Jianlin and Gao Yuanqing are representatives of the "610 Office"¹ in Daxing'anling City's Forestry Corporation. This company was formerly known as the Daxing'anling Forestry Management Bureau, Inner Mongolia, located in Yakeshi City. These two individuals work in the Moerdaoga Forestry Company. They collaborated with policemen Zhang Wenjun and Xiao Zhenjiang from the Moerdaoga Forestry Company and secretly arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Xiao Jingying and Ms. Jin Guihua from their homes in Moerdaoga City. They sent the two Dafa practitioners to the Yakeshi City Brainwashing Center.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Zhongqin lives in Liujia Team, Limin Village, Tianmen Township, Fangzheng County, Heilongjiang Province. During the Spring Festival this year (after February 1, 2004), police arrested her and her sister-in-law, and plotted to sentence them to prison.

On February 17, 2004, a person named Rao from Chimagang/Chima City led seven to eight officers from Chima City's Police Office broke into practitioner Huang Jianxiu's home. The police arrested Huang and took her to Hubei Province's Brainwashing Center. Their excuse was that Ms. Huang was suspected of putting up truth-clarifying posters.

During last four months, the Longjing District, Yanbian City Dafa materials production site was destroyed twice, which caused significant losses. More than a dozen practitioners were arrested, interrogated and tortured. Police from the Yanji National Security Bureau and the Longjing Police Office ransacked Dafa books, posters and flyers, and other items from practitioners' homes. The loss was tremendous. The practitioners who were detained included practitioners Jin and Li.

The practitioners who were arrested by the persons from the Yanji National Security Bureau include:

Chi Yongwan, 28 years old; a high school teacher in Longjing City;
Jin Taijun, 50 years old; a retired employee from a food service center in Longjing City;
Li Jingji, in her 50s ; a retired employee from a hardware company in Longjing City.

Other practitioners whose names are unknown are still being detained. The police claimed that they were sent to Changchun City, Jilin Province.

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Hongru, 32, graduated from Wuhan Industrial University. He was arrested once after being turned in, but he walked out of the detention center with the power of righteous thoughts. In August 2002, officers from the Chongwen Police Office in Beijing arrested him again and detained him at the Chongwen Detention Center. Soon after, the police sent Zhang to Beijing's Changping Detention Center. Now Zhang is detained at the Chaoyang Detention Center. It is said that Zhang is going to be brought to trial and sentenced. The Beijing Police Department is in charge of his case.

On February 21, 2004, Dafa practitioners Yu Kun and Meimei (nickname), from the Qiaokou District/Wuhan City saw posters slandering Dafa on display. They removed the posters and put up truth-clarifying materials in their place. However, they were reported and arrested. Currently they are detained at the Xindun Police Precinct.

In autumn of 2002, because Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Wei spoke up for Falun Gong at a meeting, policemen Zhang Zhenyang urged prisoners to take Li Wei into a secret room, where they brutally beat him. Later they locked him up in a cell on the third floor and didn't allow him to sleep for a long time. They handcuffed Li Wei's hands behind his back and onto a chair, and placed two high-decibel speakers with the volume turned up all the way next to Li Wei's ears. They brutally tortured her both mentally and physically.

Recently, Dafa practitioners Ms. Tang Lifang and Ms. Wu Zexiu from Guiyang City were arrested when they were distributing truth-clarifying information. Both of them had just been released from Guizhou City's Female Forced Labor Camp. On the fourth day after they were arrested, police from the Weiqing Road Police Precinct sent them to Guizhou City's Female Forced Labor Camp. Wu Zexiu refused to give her name, but someone in the forced labor camp identified her.
