(Clearwisdom.net) When I saw Master's recent article "Stop the Evil Acts with Righteous Thoughts," I remembered one of my own experiences.
In March of 2002, I was detained in the sixth unit of Chaoyanggou Labor Camp in Changchun City. Some practitioners realized that we should resist the persecution, and we should not wear the label that the labor camp gave us. On the label there were the words "crime--disturbing social order." We didn't commit any crime. Wouldn't we be accepting the crime of "disturbing social order" if we wore the labels? The practitioners in succession picked off the labels. The policemen were very angry when they found out and beat up the practitioners. Later, they found that we still didn't wear the labels, so they forced us to the police office. The captain locked the door, while four guards grabbed electric batons. I recited the Fa-rectification four-line formula given to us by Teacher, and asked Teacher to strengthen me.
Because I didn't compromise, the policemen started to beat me up. They hit my face with heavy blows. I didn't dodge their fists but faced them stoically. After they beat me for a while, they were tired and were breathing heavily. Some of them said their hands hurt, and some said their arms hurt. My face felt hot but not swollen from the beating, just a little painful, as if my face was protected by something.
They started to use police clubs and electric batons to beat us. After they were tired of using police clubs, a policeman used an electric baton to shock me. The electric baton failed to discharge electricity when it touched me. The policeman pushed the switch, but it did not work. The policeman then switched it on in the air. It flashed and worked! When he used it on my body, it still didn't work. So he switched the electric baton on in the air first, and then put it to my body. It worked this time, but as soon as the electric baton touched my body, it shocked the policeman instead. He shouted and threw the electric baton to the ground. Then he picked it up and wanted to shock me again, but it still ended up shocking him, instead. After this happened several times, the policeman dared not to pick up the electric baton with his hand. He kicked it, and when it didn't shock him, he kicked it again, it still didn't shock him, and then he finally dared to pick it up.
Through this experience, I realized that Teacher has already given us everything. Sometimes we failed to resist the evil just because we did not do well in denying the old forces' arrangements, and our righteous thoughts were not always strong enough. Now Teacher has pointed out the principle to "stop the evil acts with righteous thoughts." I think that Teacher has asked us not to have misgivings. We should understand that we have capabilities, and we should get rid of our human notions, send out strong righteous thoughts, and save more beings.
