Feb. 14, 2002: 33 Americans were among a group of foreigners who were deported
for staging a protest at Tiananmen Square by shouting out, "Falun Gong is
good" and unfurling yellow banners.
The protest took place shortly before President Bush was to visit China.
Oct. 16, 2003: House Concurrent Resolution 304 was introduced during the
108th Congress.
It details a number of examples of attacks on American Falun Gong practitioners
in U.S. cities by people who have ties to the Chinese government.
The measure also cites a number of cases where American politicians were
contacted by Chinese consular officers to recant or retract their support for
Falun Gong practitioners in the United States.
