(Clearwisdom.net) Clearwisdom.net correspondent Chu Tianxing reports -- Since July 20, 1999, when Jiang's regime started persecuting Falun Gong, in China's detention centers, labor camps, and jails, Falun Gong practitioners who persist in their belief have encountered various kinds of inhuman tortures. In the process of the systematic suppression, all of the extraordinarily violent tortures have been vigorously promoted by Jiang's regime. All adopted instruments and methods of torture are common and similar in different jails and labor camps throughout the country.
In order to allow more people to directly visualize and feel the brutality of this persecution, Falun Gong practitioners recently used real people and model demonstrations, as well as paintings, to illustrate some of the tortures experienced by Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Although the demonstrated part of tortures is already appalling, the degree and variety is only a tip of the iceberg compared to what is happening daily in China during the ruthless persecution.
Forced abortion. Pregnant female Falun Gong practitioners are forced to have abortions for two purposes: 1. it becomes more convenient to detain the practitioners; 2. it aggravates the suffering both psychologically and physically so as to force the practitioners to give up their belief.
Tying practitioners to the "death penalty bed" and injecting them with large quantities of unknown drugs to attack their nerve system. Because of the order from "above" that "If Falun Gong practitioners die, they are counted as committing suicide," and "No need to identify them, but directly cremate their bodies," those participating in the persecution carry out extremely brutal torture without fear.
Slave labor. In labor camps, practitioners who are unlawfully detained are forced to do slave labor day and night. They are forced to produce handcrafts in an intense environment of no freedom. Their products are sometimes exported or otherwise sold domestically. This has become one of the major sources for the labor camps to seek profits. The long periods of slave labor often brings about subtle psychologically changes. They become numb to the persecution and even come to accept it.
Tiger bench (Practitioners are forced to sit on a small iron bench that is approximately 20 cm (6 inches) tall with their knees tied together. Usually bricks are inserted underneath the practitioners' lower legs or ankles, and the police officers would press down on their knees with a rod. This makes the tortured feel extreme pain as if their bones are breaking and muscles ripping.
Burning practitioners' skin with heated irons. When experiencing this torture, practitioners could see with their eyes how their skin and muscles are burnt and they could smell the burning flesh.
Folding and tightly tying practitioners' bodies and then putting them under a very low-lying wooden bed for as long as several dozen hours. In addition, several people stamp their feet on the bed to add to the suffering.
The Dead person's bed was occasionally used previously for deathrow inmates. Now it is used to torture Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners who have experienced this torture include grandmothers in their 50s or 60s and also unmarried young girls.
People who were tied to the "Dead person's bed" and exposed to others did not only experience the extreme pain as if they were being pulled apart, but they had also to relieve themselves on the bed. They are made to suffer both physically and mentally constantly.
The Shenyang No. 2 Jail even ordered the criminal inmates to tie Dafa practitioners to the "dead person's bed" and then inserted the force-feeding rubber tubes into practitioners' stomachs, and left the tube there without pulling it out. They force-fed practitioners at set times everyday. Many practitioners including Zhang Zhenxue, Bai Mingsheng, Cui Dejun, Li Shangshi, Yan Haizhi and Cong Zhongxiao have experienced this kind of torture.
The situation in Jilin Jail is even more intense. They use iron chains to tightly shackle practitioners' four limbs to the bed and then pulled up the bed to make it vertical so that practitioners' bodies were hanging in the air. Practitioners are tortured this way for 3 or 4 days or even more in a row. As a result, the tortured practitioners' ankles, wrists and other joints were dislocated. If it lasts longer, the tortured person would become handicapped.
When using the "dead person's bed," some police officers even put something under the tortured practitioners' rear ends after tightly tying them to the bed, so as to intensify the stretching effect when the bed was set up vertically and practitioners' bodies were hanging in the air. The police officers then used a hammer to strike on the tortured practitioners' joints until their joints were dislocated.
