(Clearwisdom.net) Since July 20th 1999, people from the "610" Office (1) and the Political Security Section in Kuancheng County have persecuted the local Falun Gong practitioners in the county to different degrees: more than 20 people at a time were sent to the brainwashing center, 55 people at a time were detained, 2 practitioners were sentenced to prison, and 12 practitioners were sent to the forced labor camp. Illegal penalties reached 65,000 yuan (2). Many houses of the practitioners were searched and their property was confiscated.
The facts of the persecution of several practitioners are as follows.
Practitioner Mrs. Cuihua Bai, over 40 years old, lived in Dashizhuzi Township, Tangdaohe Town, Kuancheng County, Hebei Province. She began to practice Falun Gong in 1996. Because she came out to validate the Fa, she was detained, arbitrarily fined, and sent to a forced labor camp and brainwashing center on 7 different occasions. Her family's normal life has been constantly disrupted.
On December 18th 2003, Zeyuan Li, Jinglian Li and Fengzhi Cao in the "610" Office of Kuancheng County instigated more than 10 people in the Political Security Section and Police Station as well as officials of the village and township to abduct Cuihua Bai and Zhilin Wang to the brainwashing center in Chengde. People in the "610" Office extorted 3,000 yuan from the officials of the village and township, using the hard-earned money from the people to persecute these good people. Even though the Dashizhuzi Township is in a poor rural mountain area, the officials in the "610" Office still required the Dashizhuzi government to provide money, cars, and manpower for the persecution.
Practitioner Ms. Shuge Liu and her husband Shouchun Jing in Dashizhuzi Township, Kuancheng County, Hebei Province were abducted on October 28th 1999. They were detained illegally for a total of 15 days. During that time, they were locked in a cold room for 2 days and 3 nights. There was no bedding in the room. They only had a cold, hard board to sleep on.
On May 11th 2000, simply because Shuge Liu tried to get her Dafa book back from the authorities, she was sent to the brainwashing center in the county by the Tandaohe Police and then was detained for 30 days.
On June 16th 2000, Shuge Liu was sent back to the county and put into the forced labor camp for one year because she went to Beijing to appeal. In the forced labor camp, she suffered various kinds of inhuman persecution. After she was released from the forced labor camp, she was reported by some misguided people to the authorities when she was handing out truth-clarifying materials. On the 18th day of the twelfth month of the lunar year of 2002, head of Police station Xuelong Gao, and Rongyu Zhang & Yongjun Zhang from the Political Security Section abducted her into a car and detained her illegally. She went on a hunger strike to protest and was released after 7 days.
Practitioner Shouchun Jing, male, over 40 years old, lived at Xiliyuan Village, Dashizhuzi Township, Kuancheng County. After July 20th 1999, people from Tangdaohe Police Station of the county's Police Department and the local government of the village and county always came to harass him at his home, search his home, confiscate his property, and abduct people from his house.
On July 28th 1999, Shouchun Jing was detained for 15 days. In December 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal and was sent back by the policemen in the county. He was sentenced to a year of forced labor.
On February 25th 2003, the head of the Political Security Section, Shan Gao, along with Yongjun Zhang arrested Shouchun Jing at his home by force and sent him to the detention center. In the detention center, he went on a hunger strike as a protest against the illegal detention. Then he suffered the persecution of force-feeding with concentrated salt-solution (3), wearing handcuffs combined with foot shackles (4), and sleeping on a dragon's bed [a torture method], etc. His body was tortured severely and he had blood in his stool. Then Yongjun Zhang informed his family members to take him home since his blood pressure was extremely low and he was near to death.
On April 28th, the head of Police Department, Xuelong Gao, with several policemen broke the door open and entered Shouchun's house at 11 p.m. They arrested Shouchun and sent him to the detention center. Because his body was so weak, Shouchun was not sent to the forced labor camp at that time. While in the detention center, the policemen finished the procedures to put him into the forced labor camp for two years. He was sent to the Hehuaken forced labor camp in Tangshan on the second day. However, the camp refused to accept him and he was sent back to the detention center in the county. During these 12 days, Shouchun Jing did not drink a drop of water and he was near death. Only then did the Police Department release him from the detention center.
Practitioners Zhenlin Liu and Cuilan Jiang, were a couple over 60 years old at Dashizhuzi Village in Dashizhuzi Township, Kuancheng County, Hebei Province. Because they firmly believe in "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance" they were arrested by the police in Beijing. Then, they were sent back by the policemen and people in the Political Security Section of Kuanchen County and detained in the detention center illegally. When the couple was detained, the head of the Department of Armed Forces of Dashizhuzi Township, Guoqiang Wang, with X Liu from the Tangdaohe Police Station came to their house around 9 p.m. They forced the eldest child of the couple to find a tool and pried a lock-box open. They stole pictures of Teacher Li, Dafa books, bankbooks, and 700 yuan in savings. Zhenlin Liu was sent to the forced labor camp for one year and Cuilan Jiang was extorted several thousand yuan by the policemen and the people in the Political Security Section.
Practitioner Ms. Guilian Bai, lived at Xiaoshizhuzi Village, Dashizhuzi Township, Kuancheng County. In December 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal and was detained illegally in a detention center. During this time, Dashizhuzi officials including Yuzhu Guo with X Liu of Tandaohe Police Station went to her house. In the name of searching for Dafa books, they extorted100 yuan from her family. Her family was also forced to pay a 4,500 yuan fine issued by police and the authorities in the Political Security Section.
Practitioners Mrs. Cuilian Guo, Mrs. Cuiyin Wang, and Yushu Xia lived in Dashizhuzi Township, Kuancheng County, Hebei Province. All of them were over 50 years old. From July 20th 1999, police in the Dashizhuzi Police Department along with people from all levels of the government always came to their home to harass them. Because they persisted in practicing Falun Gong, they were abducted by the officials in the village, township, and town. Cuilian Guo was detained on four separate occasions. Cuiyin Wang was detained three times and Yushu Xia was detained once.
In December 2000, after these three Falun Gong practitioners were detained for one month at the detention center because they went to Beijing to appeal, Gaoxue Long, the head of the Police Department sent them to the forced labor camp for one year. In the forced labor camp, they suffered a lot of persecution, along with bad food and were forced to work to make money for the camp. Whether it was windy or raining, whether it was hot in summer or cold in winter, they were forced to work more than 10 hours per day.

(3) Force-feeding Concentrated Salt-Solution [This causes intense pain in the gut. Many practitioners have died from this because of the resulting dehydration.]
(4) Handcuffs Combined with Foot Shackles [One of a victim's hands is handcuffed to the other hand between the legs. The shackle weighs over 20 pounds. The victim cannot go to sleep, walk, stand, use the bathroom, or eat a meal. They have to walk in a half-squatting and bowing position. Police often torture practitioners this way for weeks.]
