(Clearwisdom.net) Recently I have seen some issues that I would like to share my view about. Now as our parades receive more and more appreciation, Dafa exercises are being performed less and less, and are increasingly being "replaced" by the traditional "Tang Dynasty" dancing and waist drum performances. The advantage of doing this is that the Falun Gong parades are more pleasing and they allow people to feel the wonder of Dafa. The disadvantages, however, include the fact that people have difficulties understanding what Falun Gong really is and what Falun Gong expresses. Moreover, when the waist drummers stop between the performances to demonstrate the exercises, some practitioners even get impatient. My question is, "What did we come here to do?"
Master said in "Touring North America to Teach the Fa,"
"Since mankind was created for Dafa, Dafa is this play's main theme, and all sentient beings' existences revolve around this main theme. It's just that people have been engrossed with the conflicts and clashes that have been acted out in the details of the play, and have forgotten the play's main theme and the purpose of life."
We should not be blinded by the applause of spectators and we should not forget the real reason why we came here. We did not come to entertain people. We should know that the true reason why thousands of spectators came was to see the Falun Gong parade. For some people, this might be the moment when the real significance of their coming to this world starts to manifest. Do not let these people remember Falun Gong as a group of Chinese performers with "Tang Dynasty" dancing and waist drums, and do not forget the true message that we have come to spread.
