Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Shuyou from Xugezhuang, Huangdao District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, was abducted by the police in October 2000 while clarifying the facts of the persecution of Falun Gong and handing out Falun Gong flyers to people on the train. Mr. Wang was sentenced to three years of "re-education through forced labor" in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. Mr. Wang was released after being illegally held at the forced labor camp for two years. During that period of time, his whole family's allocated apartments were withdrawn by the authorities and his child's education was interrupted for two months. In May 2002, Mr. Wang once more went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Once he arrived at Tiananmen Square, he was kidnapped by the police and taken back to the local police substation. Subsequently, the Huangdao Developing District Court sentenced Mr. Wang to five years in jail.

The persecution of Dafa practitioners from Dingzhou City, Hebei Province: The authorities went to Ms. Sun Shouqi's home many times to confiscate her property. In July 2000, the Nancheng District Police Substation abducted Ms. Sun's husband Mr. Hu Yanzong and held him at the detention center for over four months. Everyday Mr. Hu was cruelly tortured in the detention center. He was also fined 8,000 Yuan (1). Ms. Sun's son, Hu Lixiang, was beaten badly by the police for two days for appealing to the higher authorities for Falun Gong in Beijing and was expelled from his school. After coming home, he was detained and fined by the authorities from Dingzhou City. Mr. Hu Lixiang was forced to leave his home and travel about to avoid further persecution. On April 24, 2002, Ms. Sun Shouqi was abducted by the police from the Xicheng District Police Substation, Dingzhou City, and was tortured to death in a detention center. Dafa practitioners Mr. Zhou Jian and Ms. Xiao Lijun both were sentenced to twelve years in jail; Dafa practitioners Ms. Wang Juan and Mr. Li Binghan were sentenced to ten years in jail; Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhi Cuifang was sentenced to seven years in jail; Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Hongying was sentenced to four years in jail. Dafa practitioner Ms. Ma Hongyan had been illegally imprisoned at a detention center for over three years and was then transferred to another detention center where she is currently being held. Dafa practitioner Duan Lanmei has been incarcerated at the Dingzhou Detention Center for three years.

Dafa practitioner Ms. He Xinfang from Guangxi Province was imprisoned at the Rong County Detention Center. She went on a hunger strike to protest against the persecution for seven days and was barbarously force-fed. The authorities from Rong County said that she would be released after being detained for 15 days, but later retracted their statement and took her to the Nanning Women First Forced Labor Camp. On March 19, 2004, she was sentenced to a year of "re-education through forced labor."

My name is Yang Ningxi, I am a Dafa practitioner from Hong Kong. On September 29, 2003, I was illegally detained by the Changping Train Station Sub-Police Station in Guangdong Province, the Zhang Mutou Train Station Police Substation and the Shenzhen Railway Public Security Bureau for 17 hours (from 7 p.m. on the 29th to 12:30 noon of the 30th). They arrested me because I had some Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials with me, which I was planning to hand out to the people who were interested in Falun Gong in Dongwan City.

My name is Hou Guangtao (female), and I am a 67-year-old Dafa practitioner from Xinglong County, Guanghan City, Sichuan Province. In the winter of 2002, I was abducted by the police and was held at the Guanghan City Detention Center for one month. Another time, I was arrested by the police while handing out truth-clarifying materials to people. With righteous thoughts, I escaped. To avoid the persecution, I had to travel from place to other place for several months. After coming home, I was detained again and held at the Guanghan City Detention Center for one month. Then, I was taken to the Guanghan Brainwashing Center and the Xing County Brainwashing Center and persecuted for thirty-two days. During this period, someone put poison in my food. After having eaten the poisoned food for five or six days, I became emaciated. I didn't have any energy and also lost my eyesight. Then, the police finally released me.

Before and after April 25, 2004, the National Security Department from Shizhong District, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, kidnapped and extorted money from Dafa practitioners Ms. Liu Pinxiu, Ms. Ling Lisha, Ms. Chen Wenai and other unknown practitioners. Before and after May 27, 2004, over ten Dafa practitioners from Shizhong District were abducted by the authorities as well. The practitioners' names are: Mr. Wang Zhengmo, Ms. Ling Lisha, Ms. Lu Haiyan, Ms. Li Fengqi, Ms. Zhang youqing, Ms. Liu Pinxiu, Ms. Su Chunxiu, Ms. Li Jiarong, Ms. Yang Minghua, Mr. Xiang Quanguo, Mr. Wang Guangxiao, Mr. Yi Jili and others.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Song Xizi, a retired worker from the Dongjiao District Supply and Marketing Cooperative, Changde City, Hunan Province, was abducted many times by the police and was held for long periods due to appealing for Falun Dafa and clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in Beijing. Ms. Song's oldest daughter, Dong Po, was forced to travel from one place to another to avoid persecution by the personnel from the "610 Office" (2), Chenzhou City. Later, she was illegally held in Chenzhou. She has been sentenced to three years in jail. Now, she is being held at the Changsha Female Jail. Ms. Song's younger daughter, Dong Lan, is also a Dafa practitioner. She has been forced to leave her home and travel about to avoid further persecution. So far, her whereabouts are unknown. Ms. Song's family had a small business shop, but because no one was able to take care of it, the business has lost over 100 thousand Yuan.
