  1. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Luo Yunzhi Is Arrested

    Luo Yunzhi, a practitioner from Qianjin Experimental Farm in Jiaohe City, was reported to police while distributing truth-clarifying materials. The Xinzhan Town Police arrested her shortly thereafter. Ms. Luo has been held in the Jiaohe Detention Center for over a month.

  2. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Follow-up Report on Liu Junli's Torture

    On March 10, 2003, policemen from Pingshan Police Substation in Benxi City abducted Ms. Liu Junli and unlawfully held her at the police substation. In the evening, they handcuffed Liu Junli to the wall, with both her arms stretched out horizontally, until 4:00 a.m. the next morning. They did not allow her to sleep the entire night. The next day, four criminals were assigned to continually interrogate her. They kicked her two legs wide apart and pulled them straight out, which caused unbearable pain to her hips. Zhao Xinyu, a criminal, began to beat her when the others left the room. He kicked her and shocked her face with an electric baton. That evening, Liu Junli was taken to the Pingshan Criminal Police Team, where she was handcuffed to two iron beds. She decided to take a chance and removed the handcuffs. She then jumped out of the window in order to escape their evil control. Unfortunately, she compressed and split her vertebra above the hip, broke her ankle and fractured her sacrum. She now uses crutches to get around.

  3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Dai Fugui and His Son Are Abducted from their Home

    Dai Fugui, a practitioner from Daqing, is retired. He lives in the Qianlonggang Residential Area. At around 7:00 p.m. on July 25, 2004, he phoned from home, saying that, "People from the Public Security Bureau have contacted me." He and his son were abducted. His home was ransacked, and all their Falun Dafa books and Teacher's pictures confiscated. Currently the two are being detained in the Shaqu Detention Center in Daqing City.

  4. [Beijing City] Yu Ming's Life Is in Danger due to Torture in the Xin'an Forced Labor Camp

    Mr. Yu Ming, in his thirties, owns a business at Wuaijie, Shenyang City. In 2001, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. In March, he was illegally taken to Team Two of the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing. Because he did not yield to the evil, the term initially imposed on him was extended by ten months. He was transferred to the Forced Labor Terminal Center, where he was beaten with electric batons. Consequently, his face turned black around the eyes and he also suffered from angina pectoris on several occasions. Because of this, he was taken to the hospital.

    In June 2004, Yu Ming was released after completion of the extended terms. He returned to pick up his personal belongings at the police station and then go back to Shenyang City. However, he was once again arrested there, and sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor. He is currently detained at the Intensified Brainwashing Center in the Xin'an Forced Labor Camp located in Daxing District of Beijing City. Yu Ming resists the illegal detention and has been on a hunger strike for over a month. His life is in great danger. Seven police guards are specifically assigned to torture him.

    On the morning of July 27, 2004, practitioner Li Ruixia's third younger sister, along with another practitioner, was arrested after she left home for an appointment. Their whereabouts remains unknown.

  6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Lei Zouying is Detained in a Brainwashing Class

    Ms. Lei Zouying is about 40 years old. Around 6:00 p.m. on July 28, she was abducted by a group of policemen from the Shuiguohu No.1 Police Substation who were waiting for her when she returned home from work. She has been sent to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Class, where she has been subjected to torture.

  7. [Huai'an City, Anhui Province] Practitioner Lie Yinzheng Is Arrested for Telling the Facts of the Persecution

    Ms. Lie Yinzheng, a practitioner from Huainan City, was forced to become destitute and homeless in order to avoid arrest, because she wrote down the facts regarding the persecution she had suffered. On July 25, she was illegally arrested at the place she rented. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

  8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Yao Xiuxiang Is on a Hunger Strike

    Ms. Yao Xiuxiang from Shenyang City was unlawfully arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials in 2002. She was sent to the drug rehabilitation center. Later, due to severe abdominal pain, she was returned to the Guihe Police Substation. Because her husband could not bear the pressure of the persecution, he divorced her. No family member came to pick her up, so she had to stay at the police substation overnight. The next day, her relatives came and picked her up.

    At around 10:00 a.m. on July 16, 2004, the director, political instructor and about seven policemen from the Guihe Police Substation broke into her sister's home from the balcony and abducted Yao Xiuxiang. The struggle lasted about an hour. Ms. Yao kept shouting, "Falun Dafa is good!" When she was taken out to the police car, many people gathered around.

    Currently, Yao Xiuxiang is being detained in the Longshan Forced Labor Camp, where she has been on a hunger strike in protest. We are told that she is going to be taken to the hospital.

  9. [Ruzhou City, Henan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Chang Qinxin Is Illegally Detained

    At 11:00 a.m. on July 20, 2004, Wang Yawei, director of the Political & Security Section, Ruzhou Public Security Bureau, together with two policemen, went to Chang Qinxin's home. Mr. Chang is a former contact person for the Falun Gong practice site in Ruzhou City. They forcibly arrested Chang's wife, He Wenxia. Then they went to Ruzhou Teacher's College and abducted Chang Qinxin, who was working in his office. The police took the couple back to the police substation. On July 21, his wife was released, while Mr. Chang was sent to the city detention center. In the end, Chang Qinxin was officially detained without due process.

  10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Li Guiping Is Arrested

    Ms. Li Guiping, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Wuhan City, was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials at Zhuodaoquan in the Wuchang District on June 9, 2004. She was taken to the Women's Forced Labor Camp where she was illegally detained for fifteen days. Ms. Li has since been transferred to the brainwashing class.

  11. [Qianxi County, Hebei Province] Policemen Illegally Arrest a Large Number of Falun Dafa Practitioners

    On July 16, Falun Dafa practitioners went to distribute truth-clarifying materials in nearby towns and townships. They were reported to the police and seven of them were arrested, including Zhang Limin from Qianxi Radio Broadcasting Bureau, Zhang Limin's mother-in-law and Ms. Zhang Junying (her husband Bai Zongxing's mobile phone number: 86-13930585090. He works in Qianxi Arts & Sports Bureau). Others include Wei Chunqi from the Geology Team Five (who had been detained in the Qianxi Detention Center for a long time), Ms. Zhao Yanmin, a teacher from Qianxi No.2 High School, and Ms. Li Cuizheng, a teacher from Qianxi No. 2 High School. As far as we know, there are about 14 practitioners being detained in the Qianxi Detention Center. There already were 17 practitioners being detained in forced labor camps in the area.

  12. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] He Naigui Is Forcibly Abducted

    On July 26, Ms. He Naigui, a 65-year-old practitioner from Hongtoushan, Fushun City, was forcibly taken from her home and taken directly to the Luotaishan Brainwashing Class. About eight policemen and policewomen and the director of the local police substation were involved in the abduction. When the police dragged her to the police car, He Naigui shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is good!" Her neighbors came out and witnessed the whole event.

  13. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Wang Changfeng Is Arrested by Yongqingjie Police Substation

Ms. Wang Changfeng is a 65-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner. On the morning of June 16, 2004, a policeman by the surname Jin, in charge of household registration, together with other policemen from the Yongqingjie Police Substation located in the Jiang'an District of Wuhan City, broke into Ms. Wang's home. They illegally searched her home and took her away. Wang Changfeng is currently being processed into the brainwashing class located at Shengjiaji.
