Around 11:00 a.m. on August 2, officers from the Daqinjia Town Police Station unlawfully arrested two Falun Gong students. One student, in her seventies, was taken to the Linglong Brainwashing Unit. Her family demanded her release on the same afternoon.

On August 3, officers sent by the Zhaoyuan City "610 Office" (1) broke into Ms. Ai Hongqiang's home at Zhangbingbao and took her to the "610 Office."

In the evening of August 4, more than half a dozen officials from the city's "610 Office" climbed over the wall around Mr. Fu Shenli's home. The officers did not reach the courtyard because of a net spread across the walls for shade. Therefore, the officers climbed on the roof, and Mr. Fu's wife and child were awakened by the noise. Mr. Fu, who had been forced to stay away from his home for the past three years, had to make a quick escape. The officers did not leave until they had harassed Mr. Fu's wife for more than two hours.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xie Baocai is being held at the Xidayingzi Forced Labor Camp in Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province. He has been on a hunger strike since July 22, protesting his unlawful detention and persecution. He is still being force-fed.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Cui Jinlian, 57, is a retired employee at Changsha University of Science and Technology. On July 12, 2004, Ms. Cui and Ms. Xia, a retired worker of Changsha Frozen Meat Factory, went to Liangchangping Township in Wangcheng County to distribute printed materials and raise the public's awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong. They were arrested by officers of the Liangchangping Township Police Station. After over ten days of detention, they were sent to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province. Ms. Cui has been unlawfully sentenced to fifteen months of forced labor, and Ms. Xia to twelve months. Ms. Cui used to take care of her mother-in-law who is in her 90's and infirmed. Ms. Cui's mother-in-law is now left at home unattended.

Ms. Du Ruiying, 46, is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Haladao Village, Haladao Town. In 2003, she was arrested by officers from the Aohan Police Station and sent to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia for one year of forced labor. Her term ended on July 23, 2004, but because of her firm belief in Falun Dafa, labor camp authorities extended her term for twenty days. Then, her term was extended a second time for forty more days. Ms. Du remains in custody at this time.

On July 20, 2004, Chen Zhi of the State Security Unit took eight police officers, including Tian Fulai and Liu Guiguo, from the Goumen Town Police Station to Falun Dafa practitioner Li Rujin's home. Using the pretense of wanting to examine Falun Dafa practitioner You Yongwang's identification card, four officers carried him into the police vehicle. Mr. You is being held at the Lingyuan Detention Center.

Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Qiao Zhongjin and his wife Fu Minling live in Jianping, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province. On April 3, officers from the Longcheng Branch Police Department in Chaoyang City arrested them. Mr. Qiao is currently being held at the Wujiawa Detention Center. Ms. Fu has been sentenced to two years of forced labor. She is being held in Group 1, Unit 2 of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. The group leader is named Yang.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. He Xia, 40, is a teacher at Railroad Middle School in Dazhou City, Chongqing. In mid-July 2004, she went to visit her mother in Nan'an District, Chongqing. During her visit, she took her 14-year-old daughter, a young Falun Dafa practitioner, to raise public awareness of the persecution against Falun Gong. Informants alerted the police, but Ms. He's daughter managed to escape with the help of righteous thoughts. Ms. He was arrested and later sentenced to two years of forced labor.

Li Chun is a retired worker of the No. 6 Provincial Construction Company in Xigong District, Luoyang City, Henan Province. Du Aixiang is a resident at Qilihe. Both practitioners went to Luopu Park to distribute Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials on July 27, 2004. Plainclothes police officers followed them and placed them under arrest. The two practitioners are being held at the Mangshan Detention Center.

Falun Dafa practitioner Xiang Changyin is from Laochi Township in Suining City, Sichuan Province. Xiang makes a living by driving a pedicab and rents a room at the No. 7 Commune in Duanjiadian Village, Suining City. On the morning of June 17, Yuan Tufu, a township official, took officers from the city's state security unit to break into Xiang's home. The police took Xiang into forced custody without presenting any legal documents. Since then, Xiang has been unlawfully held at the Lingquansi Detention Center.

Mr. Zhu Huairong is a Falun Dafa practitioner in his thirties from Huiyuan Township, Huocheng County, Yili Prefecture, Xinjiang Autonomous Region. On June 3, 2004, he was arrested by police in a post office while mailing out Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. Mr. Zhu is being held at the Huocheng County Detention Center.
