1. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Shao Minggong on Hunger Strike to Protest Illegal Detention
Mr. Shao Minggong is a practitioner from Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. He was arrested by the National Security agency and detained in Jinzhou City First Detention Center of Liaoning Province. Even the police there have admitted to his being detained longer than his sentence dictates, and Shao began a hunger strike not long ago. He is extremely weak and on the verge of death.

4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Dafa Practitioner Gao Qingyuan Sent to a Brainwashing Center
Dafa practitioner Gao Qingyuan lives in Shuiyin Road, Dongshan Section, Guangzhou City. On the morning of August 20, 2004, he was arrested and later detained in the Legal School in Guangzhou City for brainwashing. His current situation is unknown.
5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Two Falun Dafa Materials Production Sites Destroyed ; Dafa Practitioners Arrested
On August 12, 2004, two Falun Dafa materials production sites in Qingdao City, Shandong Province were destroyed. Two elderly Dafa practitioners and Ms. Lan were arrested, and it is surmised that they had been followed for a long time. All their equipment and materials were also taken away, and the homes of these three practitioners were ransacked. They are now being detained.

On the morning of August 20, 2004, policeman Yu Bing of Pingdu Zhanggezhuang County Police Station brought other policemen and trespassed the home of Zhang Xueying, a Zhanggezhuang Village resident. They illegally arrested him and confiscated his house. The police also took away Dafa books and truth-clarifying VCD's, as well as written materials. Zhang Xueying is now detained in Zhanggezhuang County Police Station and undergoing so-called "transformation", which usually involves torture and brainwashing.

Early in the morning on August 20, 2004, Chongqing Dafa practitioners Li Yunyi and Qiu Cuixiang, who were visiting other practitioner in Dadukou, were arrested.
According to an eyewitness, after Li Yunyi and Qiu Cuixiang entered the building and proceeded up the stairs on the morning of August 20, he heard someone hitting a woman, who was shouting, "This is my belief. We are practicing Falun Gong to be good people. We haven't done anything wrong!" The police then tried to gag her mouth and continued beating her, and she cried out in pain, "The police are hitting good people! The police are hitting good people!"

Because he refused to give up Falun Gong, Zhang Huirong from Dongwang Fuzhuang Village, Nancun County, Pingdu City, Shandong Province was forced to abandon his home and live in exile to avoid persecution. On August 15, 2004, he returned home with the intention of seeing his family , but officers from the Nancun Police Station arrested him in his home on the same day. His whereabouts are unknown.
9. [Xuchang County, Henan Province] Dafa Practitioner Han Qiaoling Arrested and Sent to Zhengzhou City Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp
Dafa practitioner Han Qiaoling, about 40 years old, is from Luoguai Village, Suqiao Town, Xuchang County, Henan Province. In July of this year, police arrested her for distributing truth-clarifying materials, and she was detained in Zhangge Detention Center for one month. Furthermore, her family was forced to pay 3000 yuan upon her release. After returning home, Han located the responsible unit and asked for the return of the money, but the police refused to reimburse her and arrested her instead. Without any legal procedure, she was sentenced to one year of hard labor and sent to Zhengzhou City Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp.

In May 2004, Dafa practitioner Cai Fuchen of Yanji, Jilin Province was arrested for making producing truth-clarifying materials. He remains in prison to this day.

At 2 p.m. on August 9, 2004, Dafa practitioner Wang Guiying from Madaoshi Shandong Village, Lidao County, Rongcheng City, Shandong Province, was arrested from his home. At the same time, Dafa practitioner Qu Xiumei from Madaocangya Village, Lidao County, Rongcheng City was also arrested from her home without reason.
12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Gan Lihua Arrested and Sent to a Brainwashing Center
On May 13, 2004, Dafa practitioner Gan Lihua was reported to the City Public Security Bureau while distributing truth-clarifying materials on Dacheng Road, Wucheng Section, Wucheng City. She was subsequently arrested and sent to Wucheng Yangyuan Brainwashing Center, and her current situation is unknown. Her family attempted to bring clothing to her, but the brainwashing unit would not allow it. Her family members were also not allowed to visit her, and this is the fourth time she has been arrested.

Dafa practitioner Yang Zhengwu from Wuhan City, Hubei Province has been sent to Hewan Forced Labor Camp to serve one and a half years of hard labor.
15. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Current Situation of Dafa Practitioners at Materials Production Sites in Xiaogan City
On July 8, 2004, police destroyed two Falun Dafa materials production sites in Xiaogan City; one of them was a new site. All the truth-clarifying materials and equipment was taken away. About a dozen Dafa practitioners were arrested and sent to Xiaogan City First Detention Center, and they are still being imprisoned there. They went on a hunger strike for several days and have become very weak. Practitioner Chen Ming was forced-fed during the hunger strike and fell unconscious; she was later sent to a hospital to be resuscitated.
The names of several detained practitioners are as follows: Li Qing of Xiaogan City, Zhouqing of Jingshan County, Chen Ming and Wan Chao from Yingcheng City, Ms. Pan Juying from Anlu City, and several Dafa practitioners from Guang Shui City, Yunmeng County, and Wuhan City (their names are currently unavailable).
