Mr. Yu Shujin is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Yongji County, Shulan City, Jilin Province. He was arrested when police sabotaged a Falun Gong materials production site. On the morning of June 25, 2004, officers from the Nancheng Police Station forced their way into Mr. Yu's home, where three other practitioners were also present, claiming they needed to check residential permits. After discovering Falun Dafa books, the officers started to arrest the four practitioners. Three practitioners managed to escape with righteous thoughts in mind and Mr. Yu was arrested. At present, he is being held at the Shulan City Detention Center. He is in very weak physical condition.

Ms. Zhang Shunying is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. On February 25, 2004, police officers broke into her home and arrested her. She was taken to a detention center on criminal charges on April 29 for refusing to renounce Falun Dafa. No one, not even her family, has seen her since.

At 8:30 a.m. on September 1, Tianhe District Court in Guangzhou City was to have put her on trial, charging her with "disrupting law and order by organizing illegal groups."

Falun Dafa practitioners Shao Jianhui and Pan Junzhu are both from the Canzhuang Gold Mine in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province. After 2:00 p.m. on August 13, 2004, Wang Peimao, Party Secretary of Political Affairs for the gold mine, abducted Shao and Pan to a brainwashing unit at Linglongtai, Zhaoyuan City.

Ms. Zhang Xiaojing, in her fifties, is a practitioner in the Xicheng District of Beijing. She was unlawfully sentenced to a forced labor camp. Around August 25, she was abducted from the State Information Center where she works to the Xicheng Legal Education Study Session (which is another name for a brainwashing unit). She has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

Mr. Zhao Guowei is a practitioner from Huili County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Around 11:00 a.m. on August 27, 2004, he received a phone call from the Long Distance Bus Terminal in Huili County, where he worked, and was told to report to the office immediately. Mr. Zhao was placed under arrest as soon as he arrived at the bus station.

Around 4:30 p.m. that afternoon, Zhao was seen being taken into the Chengbei Police Station in Huili County. Practitioner Ms. Han Meng, who was arrested by the Hongqi Police Station on August 5, 2004, is also an employee of the Long Distance Bus Terminal where Zhao works.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ye Qiu'an is a taxi driver. On the evening of July 28 a group of people led by Li Haitao, Deputy Party Secretary of Lian'an Town in Haifeng County, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province, arrested him while he was driving a cab. Early the next morning, Wang Shaoyuan and another official with the last name "He" of the "610 Office" took Ye to the Sanshui Brainwashing Unit in Guangdong Province for persecution. This was the third time Ye has been taken to the brainwashing unit since being released from a forced labor camp.

Mr. Zhang Zhaohua, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Haila'er Branch Railroad Department in Inner Mongolia, was arrested for the second time by the local police in 2001 for appealing for Falun Dafa. He was unlawfully sentenced to seven years in prison and is being held at the Bei'an Prison in Heilongjiang Province. Mr. Zhang has remained firm in his belief in Falun Dafa. Since the spring of 2004, he has been handcuffed and shackled by prison guards. He has been given only two meals each day (50 grams in the morning and 50 grams in the afternoon).

Jiang Zhi from Bengbu City, Anhui Province, and another Falun Dafa practitioner with the last name "Fan" from Hainan Province were arrested in September 2002 for producing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. On September 10, 2003, the Dongqu District Court unlawfully put the two practitioners on trial. No sentences were announced in the courtroom. According to sources within the court, the sentences would be determined by the city's political judiciary committee.

Mr. Zhou Ji'an, 38, is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jingyu County, Jilin Province. He was formerly an employee of the Gaotiancheng Group Company Ltd. in Baishan. He was unlawfully sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials before being released unconditionally. On the so-called sensitive date of July 22, 2004, the "610 Office" of the Jingyu County Political Judiciary Committee harassed local Falun Dafa practitioners and abducted Mr. Zhou from his home. His home was also ransacked and Falun Dafa materials were confiscated.

Lin Xijie is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Farm No. 597 in Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province. On July 8, 2001, Lin and nine other practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Police arrested the practitioners on the train and brutally beat them. Lin's whereabouts have been unknown since that time.

Ms. Liu Chaoshu, around 40 years old, is a practitioner from Jinfeng Town in the Jiulongpo District of Chongqing. She made a living by running a small store. In 2001, she was arrested while raising public awareness about Falun Gong at Chenjiaqiao in Shapingba, Chongqing. She was unlawfully held at Maojiashan for a year of forced labor. At the end of her term, she was sent to the Geleshan Brainwashing Unit for persecution for a year. She returned home at the end of 2003.

On August 8, 2004, the local police station and the Jiulongpo Police Department arrested Ms. Liu while she clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. Her whereabouts remain unknown.

Ms. Liu Xiu'e, about 37, graduated with a Master's degree. She worked at the Bureau of Transportation Administration at the Jilin Provincial Transportation Department. Ms. Liu was unlawfully arrested at the end of March 2002 and sentenced to twelve years in prison. She is being tortured at the Jilin Women's Prison.
