1. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Jiao Jiagan, Mr. Zhong Chongbin and Others Sentenced to Imprisonment
Since July 2004, the Lianyungang City 610 Office detained several Falun Dafa practitioners for extended periods of time, and refused to allow them family visits. Among these practitioners, Mr. Zhong Chonbin, Ms. Du Xiuju, Mr. Liu Naihe, Mr. Liu Shuye, Mr. Yu Yue and others were each sentenced to terms of imprisonment of 3 or 4 years.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] High School Teacher Ms. Jiang Yanxia Arrested for Clarifying the Truth about Falun Dafa
Ms. Jiang Yanxia is the class teacher of the 5th Class of the 3rd Grade in the Number 53 High School in Changchun City. She clarified the truth to all the students in her class and gave each of them a New Year's card (which contained truth-clarification material). The next day, Ms. Jiang disappeared. It was later found that officers of the Erdao Police Sub-Bureau of Changchun City had arrested her.

3. [Jiangsu Province] Practitioners Inhumanly Tortured at the Jiangsu Provincial Forced Labor Camp
The Jiangsu Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jurong County is an evil site where Falun Dafa practitioners have been cruelly tortured. More than 600 female practitioners have been detained there and subjected to authoritarian brainwashing.
The practitioners who refused to renounce their practice were subjected to sleep deprivation and forced to squat while being harassed. Furthermore, they were beaten by there own "personal cangues" (1). These practitioners suffered myriad tortures, both mental and physical in nature. For example, in the freezing cold of winter they would be stripped down to their thin underwear, then the cangues would douse them with cold water, soaking them from head to feet. On the Chinese New Year in 2004, as the practitioner Ms. Gao Yulan was made to endure her third round of brainwashing, the cangues not only poured cold water all over her but also beat her, severely injuring one of her eyes.

4. [ Hubei Province] Practitioner Wu Zhiqiang in a Weakened Condition from Torture at the Qinduakou Prison
Mr. Wu Zhiqiang from Qiaokou District, Wuhan City has been illegally incarcerated at the Qinduankou Prison in Hubei Province since June 2004. Because he refused to give up his belief in the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" he was tortured to the point where he is only skin and bones and looks very old. He is presently only 40 years old, yet he appears to be over 60.
5. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xu Jianping Taken to a Brainwashing Center for Producing Truth-Clarification Materials
Ms. Xu Jianping from Pingjiang District, Juzhou City was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center for producing truth-clarification materials. She has been held for more than a month.
6. [Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. You Yumei and Ms. Cai Jinlan Arrested for Distributing Truth-Clarification Materials
Ms. You Yumei and Ms. Cai Jinlan were arrested on October 24, 2004 while handing out truth-clarification materials at the Luozhen Township, Fuzhou Area in Jiangxi Province. They were held at the Fuzhou Number 1 and Number 2 Detention Centers. Because they refused to give their names, continued to study the Fa while being held at the detention center, practiced the Falun Gong exercises, sent forth righteous thoughts, and refused to disclose the source of the materials, they were handcuffed and shackled for as long as 24 days. Only when their family members went to visit them on November 17 were their handcuffs and shackles removed. When their family members saw Ms. You Yumei and Ms Cai Jinlan, the two of them looked quite unwell, Ms. Cai Jinlan in particular. Her face was swollen and she had a sallow complexion.
7. [Linqu, Shandong Province] Mr. Lu Hongyue Arrested While Hanging Banners
Lu Hongyue was arrested by police officers from the Linqu Police Station and sent to a detention center early in the morning on December 30, 2004 for putting up truth- clarifying banners.
8. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Further Information on the Persecution of Ms. Zhong Shuhua
On March 19, a dozen or more policemen who arrived in four police cars surrounded Ms. Zhong Shuhua's house, took away all her Falun Dafa books and materials including CD burners and disks worth 5,000 yuan. Ms. Zhong Shuhua was taken to Pingdu 610 Office. The police from the 610 Office used a rope made of hand-towels to whip Zhong Shuhua's eyes, forced her to stand still for a long period of time, forced her to sit on a small stool day and night, and deprived her of sleep. The torture lasted for nearly 8 months.
Ms. Zhong Shuhua was sentenced to three years of forced labor and taken to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City on December 1 by officers of the Pingdu 610 Office because she still refused to give up her belief in the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." Jiang Tao from the New Era Commercial Building in Pingdu City was taken to the forced labor camp with Zhong Shuhua. Zhong Shuhua's husband, Zhong Zhenfu, was forced to leave home on March 19 and became homeless in order to avoid being arrested and persecuted. As a result, no one was left to take care of his parents, who are nearly 80 years old. When their son was about to get married before the Chinese New Year, he did not have his parents there to celebrate with him. A happy family has been broken up due to the persecution.
9. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guan Feng Arrested While Distributing Truth-Clarification Flyers
Ms. Guan Feng and another practitioner from the Petroleum Institute of Daqing whose name is not presently known were arrested on December 30, 2004. It is said that the patrolling police spotted them while they were handing out truth-clarification flyers.
10. [Yuxin, Jiangxi Province] Practitioner Mr. Jin Shunsheng Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor
In early November 2004, policemen from the National Security Division arrested Jin Shunsheng from Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province. He was taken to Bajing Forced Labor Camp in Gaoan, Jiangxi Province without proper legal procedures, where he is required to perform forced labor for a period of one year.
11. [Luanxian County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Li and Mr. Zhou Haiwei, a Married Couple, Arrested for Clarifying the Truth About Falun Dafa
Ms. Yang Li from Luanxian County No. 2 High School in Tangshan City told her students the truth about Falun Dafa and about the greatness of the principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." The school principal and the Party Secretary reported it to the Cultural and Education Bureau. Ms. Yang's husband, Zhou Haiwei, has clarified the truth to the principal before. The school authorities talked to the couple many times, suspending them from teaching classes, suspended them from their jobs, tried to force them to write a "Guarantee Statement," and tried to force them leave Luanxian County. The couple continued to clarify the truth to the school authorities. On October 7, 2004, both of them were arrested and are now being held at the Luanxian County Detention Center.

12. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Huang Jinrong Sentenced to Forced Labor
On October 30, 2004, Ms. Huang Jinrong was arrested by policemen from the Qianjin Police Station in Ningjiang District, Songyuan City and sentenced to forced labor. She is now held at the No. 1 Team, No. 6 Division of the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. Currently authorities at the camp are refusing to allow visits from her family.
