Shared at the 2005 Asia-Pacific Falun Dafa Conference

I have been cultivating for more than 3 years. Fellow cultivators have encouraged me to write an article in previous Dafa experience sharing conferences, but I used all kind of excuses to reject them. For example, I do not know how to write. I only graduated from primary school, how do I know how to write? Many ordinary perceptions held me up. When I heard that the Asia-Pacific Dafa experience sharing conference would be held in Kuala Lumpur this year, I seriously considered writing again. Finally, I decided to write this paper to share.
I obtained the Fa in 2002. Before cultivating in Dafa, I was misguided by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda attacking Falun Dafa. The local newspapers reported that Falun Gong was not good and people who practiced it will have a negative impact on society. Because of that, Falun Gong gave me a negative impression. However, in March 2002, I received a brief introductory brochure in my mailbox. The content was about how Falun Gong disciples are tortured and beaten to death by police. I was shocked. How could such crimes against humanity happen in the 21st century? Only those who have no human character could have done such acts. It made me want to know more about Falun Gong. What is Falun Gong? Why do 100 million people practice Falun Gong? Why don't they give up the practice when facing such life and death situations?
One Saturday afternoon, I joined a practice group. The practice atmosphere was very peaceful. I obtained a copy of Zhuan Falun and took it home to read. When I read the first talk of Zhuan Falun, Teacher said,
"I think that those who can listen to my lectures in person, I would say, honestly... you will realize in the future that this period of time is extremely precious. Of course, we believe in predestined relationship. Everyone sits here all because of a predestined relationship."
I was very shocked when I read this part because I had no idea what "cultivation" is all about. What is cultivation? This inspired me to finish reading the book. I gradually learned what cultivation is all about. Thereafter, I went to the practice site to practice. I also borrowed all of Teacher's books and articles. In Touring North America to Teach the Fa, Teacher said,
"This is because you are very different from any cultivation method in the past and from the cultivators in the past, for your missions are great."
I then understood what it means to be a Dafa cultivator in the Fa-rectification period, which is to do well in the three things that Teacher has told us: Study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts and clarify the truth.
In the beginning when I first came out to coordinate with fellow cultivators to clarify the truth, I had the attachment of fear. However, I know that I must cultivate to eliminate the attachment of fear. Gradually, after few times of clarifying the truth, my attachment was eliminated without my even noticing it.
In the beginning, I sent forth righteous thoughts at the Chinese Embassy and clarified the truth in the night market. My fear was removed during the process. When I joined fellow cultivators to send forth righteous thoughts at the embassy for the first time, my heart was pounding very fast, my fear was aroused, and I could not calm down. When I sent forth righteous thoughts, I felt that the time passed very slowly. I wanted to leave the place fast, and forgot that the purpose of being there was to clear away the evil factors in other dimensions. After that first time, I looked within myself. I discovered that I had a very strong everyday person's heart, and always thought about going to the embassy to send forth righteous thoughts as an illegal act. When I discovered this problem, I also realized that the evil tried to stop us from sending forth righteous thoughts. We went to the embassy to send forth righteous thoughts every Sunday. Many times, the security guard of the embassy reported us to the police. After the police arrived, we clarified the truth to them without any concerns. They always let us continue to send forth righteous thoughts after they understood the truth.
In order to stop the persecution and help more people know the truth, several times we held banners reading, "Falun Dafa is Good," " Stop the persecution of Falun Gong," and "Bring Jiang to Justice" in front of the embassy. Some passing by drivers raised their hands to show support for our magnificent feat.
Malaysia is a tropical country (with hot weather) so people like to go to night markets. Two fellow cultivators and I agreed that the night market is a very good place to clarify the truth. Hence, we arranged the materials we would need. In the beginning many people did not understand, some even scolded us, accusing us of bringing shame to China. I felt very sad. The evil has persecuted so many innocent Falun Gong practitioners. Sometimes I could not control my xinxing and argued with people. Later we studied the Fa. We discussed among fellow cultivators. We understood that we should expose such areas as persecution of belief, human rights and the killing of the kind and innocents cultivators. Then the people will understand it better. We went to most of the night markets in Kuala Lumpur. Many people have learned the truth of Falun Gong from us. Some have even started to practice themselves.
We read about the anti-torture exhibitions organized by Dafa disciples all over the world, realizing that they can clarify the truth effectively. We started to hold such exhibitions at a hotel. Later, we also held exhibits in the night markets, and then we continued to do it at some of the practice sites. During the process, fellow cultivators coordinated amongst each other: some prepared the materials, some did the makeup and some were the actors in the torture reenactments. Through these activities, we became more and more mature. Many people truly sensed the seriousness of the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
The Epoch Times published the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party which systematically explain the nature of the Communist party. Initially I did not pay serious attention to them. I tried to read or to listen to the Nine Commentaries after cultivators shared their understanding in a discussion, but the interference was big -- I either had no time or the VCD player would have a problem. Afterward I sent forth righteous thoughts and then I could watch it, but I felt sleepy every time and could not finish. I was not aware that it was interference. Finally, I realized that something was wrong and I then sent forth righteous thoughts again. I finally finished watching the Nine Commentaries VCDs. It was shocking. Although I was not born in China, the CCP's tyranny really shocked me. It caused 80 million unnatural deaths of the Chinese people!
In order to help more people learn the truth, we started to show the Nine Commentaries VCDs in the night market. Many people were shocked and requested books, newspapers and DVDs. The people and students from China were especially interested. They took many copies to share with their classmates. We also went to tourist sites to distribute the Nine Commentaries to Chinese tourists. Now we use a big screen projector and the effect is even better.
During the "Nine Emperor Gods birthday celebration" this year, we rented a spot to promote the Nine Commentaries. We used a big screen projector. I realized the effect is very good to show it on the big screen. Many people came to get the commentaries and DVDs. One woman said that she knows the CCP very well. Her father educated her that the CCP has no human characteristics. They do all kind of bad things, and therefore she trusted every word in the Nine Commentaries. She got the Nine Commentaries and the DVD from us and invited us to go to her hometown to promote the Nine Commentaries. Another man saw the 6th commentary "On how the CCP Destroyed Traditional Culture." He felt very upset and aroused. He scolded the CCP and said something that touched me: "Gods will come and get this evil, which means Gods will eliminate the CCP." Afterwards, he asked a few friends to come and share with them the truth of the evil CCP. At that time, I thought of what Teacher said in "We Are Not "Getting Political":"
"What should be done, given these circumstances? The only thing that can be done is to strip naked this vile party that persecutes Dafa disciples and let the Chinese people and people of the world see this party--a party they have believed and that has always claimed to be "great, glorious, and correct"--for what it really is. After The Epoch Times carried the Nine Commentaries on the X Party, the CCP again started cooking up stories and telling lies, alleging that, "Falun Gong is getting political." The fact that, whoever has something to say about the Party is "getting political." It will then be used to deceive the Chinese people. Actually, the Chinese people are fearful of and attach a negative sense to "getting involved with politics" because of the very Party-culture that the Party has instilled in them. Anywhere outside those nations ruled by the malevolent CCP, being a "politician" would seem a rather elite designation."
Malaysian law states that the Communist Party is illegal. No matter how evil the CCP is, the truth is always on our side: communism is illegal in Malaysia. We have good factors here. We will continue to be diligent in the three things Teacher has asked us to do - study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts and clarify the truth -- to accomplish the vows we made in the days before history was recorded.
