1. Persecution intensified at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp

Staff members at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City held a work meeting the morning of March 25 to discuss escalating the persecution of practitioners. On March 26, they secretly transferred 32 practitioners to the Fenjin Labor Camp, the Weizigou Labor Camp and other places. The practitioners are holding a hunger strike to protest the additional persecution.

2. Practitioners tortured at the Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp in Jiutai City, Jilin Province

My name is Zhang Jinguang and I am 45 years old. I was arrested on January 19, 2001, when I went to Beijing for the third time to validate Dafa. Officers at the Zhanqian Police Department beat me, shocked me with electric batons, and kicked me like a rag doll. The local police later picked me up and sent me to the Shulan City Detention Center, where the inmates beat, kicked and verbally abused me. On April 2, 2002, they transferred me to the Jiutai City Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province. Guard Jin tied me to a Death Bed. He shocked my face with electric batons and jabbed the soles of my feet with needles. Then he sent me to the Strictly Controlled Class. Jin gathered a group of guards together to hit the small of my back with a club until it broke in two. We held a hunger strike and were force-fed. They pried our mouths open with metal bars. They knocked out one of my teeth and my mouth filled with blood. Other practitioners also lost one or more teeth through torture. During another hunger strike, they knocked out two of my front teeth. I bled constantly. They sent me to the Strictly Controlled Class, where they put us in a specially-made metal cage so that we could not sleep, stand or lie down. They would not release us unless we signed a document to renounce Dafa. They sentenced me to two years of forced labor but released me in October 2004, nine months after my term had expired.

3. Practitioner Ms. Gao Bizhen in Wuhan City Arrested and Sent to a Brainwashing Class

Practitioner Ms. Gao Bizhen from the Wuchang District of Wuhan City was sent to a labor camp twice and frequently held at brainwashing classes and detention centers for months at a time, where she was physically tortured and mentally tormented. Her daughter suffered a nervous breakdown in 2002 due to constant pressure and harassment from the police. In late March 2005, Ms. Gao was abducted by officials from the 610 Office, the Party Street Committee and the police department. She is currently being held at the Yangyuan Study Class, a brainwashing facility. They extorted between 5,000 and 6,000 yuan from her husband on the day of her detention. Her home phone is tapped. Whenever she answers the phone, an irritating static background noise makes it impossible for her to have a normal conversation. Her older daughter is currently being treated at a mental hospital and needs the care and love of her mother. Her younger daughter is preparing for the college entrance examinations in June 2005. Her husband is taking care of the family.
