They hung Mr. Hu Enkui (a physics teacher at Feixi Yicheng Middle School) by his handcuffs for five days. After eight months, the scars on Mr. Hu's hands were still clearly visible. His legs were beaten and broken and left untreated, and he became crippled. These practitioners' family members didn't know what was going on until a court hearing was held on July 30, 2004. Mr. Ji Guangjie, over 40, is from Hefei, Anhui Province. Because he produced and distributed materials about the truth of Falun Dafa, he was taken into custody in Hefei on July 19, 2003. He said that Ji Guanjie's behavior was not good, so we were not allowed to see him. He said, "Ji Guangjie's blood pressure is very high. If his life is in danger, we will inform you by phone." When we asked him for a meeting, he became unreasonably harsh, trying to intimidate us. He threatened that you would sue me. We had to return home.

Because the weather was cold, on January 4, Ji Guangjie's son went to deliver a cotton quilt and a cotton-padded jacket to his father. He was not even allowed to enter the gate. He earnestly and repeatedly asked the guards to deliver the quilt and clothes to his father, but they rejected him.

At the time Ji Guangjie was imprisoned, his blood pressure reached 230/170. His life was in danger, yet you still illegally put him in prison. Not only were the family members not informed of his imprisonment, but we were twice kept from seeing him after we learned where he was. In the cold of winter, we were not allowed to send him warm clothes and a quilt. The prison guards talked nonsense that Falun Gong practitioners don't need clothes. They even tried to intimidate visiting family members. There are many reports in the media claiming that the prison guards treat Falun Gong practitioners "gently," reeducating them with "kindness." However, our family's personal experience has been just the opposite.

The weather is cold. Ji Guangjie has only one thin quilt, and his blood pressure is high, which makes us very worried about his situation.

Warden, do your subordinates' words and deeds conform to the law? If not allowing Falun Gong practitioners to see their family members, not letting them correspond by letter, letting them suffer in cold weather, and treating visiting family members arbitrarily and unreasonably are prison rules you made yourself, then they should be announced to the public.
